Ok y'all... All jokes aside for a minute. I took the factory stickers off of my jeep, will this void my warranty?

Since they blew off going down the road, well that sounds like a warranty issue!

How will you ever get your license plate renewed?
If you ever had it stolen, how would law enforcement ever find it?
If you ever got into a accident, they may think that you are a illegal alien with a unidentifiable vehicle....so you better hide........
What happens if you park it at work and then you can't find which one it is..........
This is very crazy serious................

I went through the last two pages of high school jeepers thread. Read one thing about someone complaining about mommy and daddy before I had enough. The kid doesn't even realize how lucky he is his parents bought him a car. I dont want to go back to that thread ever again. Horrible horrible idea. Im gunna have nightmares now of those kids becoming adults. Yay.

Thats exactly what my nightmares are. Them in power, but maybe they will still rely on their parents and it wont be too bad cuz their parents will really be making all the decisions. Hell who am I kidding, these kids already think they know more than everyone else, they wont go asking for help. In 20 years 2 + 2 will equal 22

I dont think most kids these days are knuckle heads out side of their video games, maybe these jeeper kids wont be too bad because they will actually go out and try stuff and wont be suckling their controllers for the rest of their lives.

Hey hey we're not all bad. I hate the ones who live off of mommy and daddy as much as the next guy especially since I'm making 400/month payments on a 295/month loan and gotta pay for the maintenance no fun mods myself too (no front DS for the last 3 weeks...). Meanwhile their street queen just got some 35s and daddy's gas in the tank. But besides the strong dependence what I hate the most about my/upcoming generation is the crazy amount of social awkwardness. Can't stand watching kids on campus walking around staring at their phone, or worse when you're talking to them and they're texting.

The whole rant on the high school thread thing has been blown way out of proportion. If you took the time to read more, you'd find out that everyone that replied to that kid told him to be thankful for what he had and that if he wanted to mod it, buy it from his parents first. The seemingly popular opinion in here that all teenagers are dumb is a very broad generalization. Being one of the original "founders" of the high school thread, I can say that 99.999% of it is not like that. Of course, there is always "that guy" from time to time. The vast majority of members that have contributed to that thread are far from dumb. The other OP's, as well as myself, are in college now. I can't speak for the most recent posters in there, but if you were to read back through all of those pages in the thread, you'd figure out that the guys in there put a huge amount of work in their Jeeps on a very tight budget. They mod themselves and work for what they have. They don't get mommy and daddy to open their checkbook every time they see something new in the Quadratec catalog. And as far as the "just think, one day they will be running our country" remarks, our country isn't exactly being run up to par right now, IMO. Just noodle that for a bit. I don't know about you, but I want to life freely not freely*. It doesn't take a bunch of dumb teenagers to run a country into the ground. But I may be wrong, since the current older generation wasn't ever a bunch of dumb teenagers.

See and thats why I said that maybe the jeeper kids our the best hope. Some of you actaully get real world experience like the responsibility of paying for your own stuff. Like you do. And I agree with you on the social awkwardness. Because you know that is all the do all the time. Doesnt change when they get home.

^ Amen to that. We are the most connected disconnected people on planet earth. Kids are losing the ability to relate on an in person basis where you have to actually respond in the moment instead of after composing a careful written response. OMG and WTF and.....

Closely related is the need for instant gratification. Search weakness aside, too many folks ask for help with all kinds of things in unrelated threads that have been covered ad nauseaum in other threads- headlights, mileage, oil, lifts and all the things plasti-dipppppped (sorry, I double dipped). But no, they are special and don't have to look or read. All of that brilliance is one of the reasons de etre of this site. I should be gracious about it, but the wife says I'm a curmudgeon so I'm entitled grumble, right? Jeep on! (Oh Good grief).

Your gunna fit right in here on this thread. You are right, I didnt read the whole thing, just the last two pages. The kid with the odd clutch question and the one i referred to. But when the older generation was teenagers they didnt sit at home and do nothing. There was nothing to do so they went out and messed around. That's why like I said, our hope is with the jeeper kids, cuz they actually get out and do stuff. If these kids wheel, they know how to handle different situations, probably can think their way out. Maybe have common sense, something alot of kids seem to be missing.

Gotta chime in on this...

Who was it that made these insta-talky devices and brought them into the home?
Who stopped dinner time at a table?
Who developed the programming for the brainless box, then plopped em in front of it for an education?
Who enabled the indoctrinated babble in public schools?
Who passed our wonderful laws, both restricting drink sizes and allowing shooting over property?
Who required more than y'all EVER spent on school to be paid without the same wonderful loan you got?
Who told em to stop drinking from the hose, put on a bike helmet, use squishy baseballs, stop keeping score cause playing IS winning?
Who became so obsessed with their own material satisfaction they disregarded that of their children?
Etc...
Etc...
Etc...

My favorite tv quote: "Coach, am I stoopid?" "Of course you're stoopid, Brandon, all kids are stoopid." - Home Movies. In truth, they are not stoopid but ignorant (and so were we). Who made kids what they are today? Marilyn, Eminem, and heroin? Or mommy and daddy? The constant fear mongering and sheltering, caused mainly by our politicians, war machine, and media, leaves ill-equipped children to inherit the Earth. This is a direct result of our modern culture in America.

If you are over 50 and concerned for the future, look in the mirror and you will find the reason. Further, Socrates wrote of how children no longer respected adults or authority and that was years before Christ. It will just continue on and on, just like we did to the ol' timers...

In short: "Idiocracy".

Mine shillings hath been dispensed...

Ohhhhhh, that's trouble. You gotta flip the jeep over, pull the handle, and reinstall it at a 78 degree offset (while still upside down). Or get the jaws of life, pop it off, then buy a Toyota door so it won't happen again.

Regarding the younger set, let's not forget that these "kids" went off to fight bravely in wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. We all have differing political views, but there are slackers in every generation and conscientious youngsters too. Let's rant about the important stuff like whether the Jeep logo should be chrome or black. Or New Age pink or beer brown? PS, you fix a stuck door handle with a church key.

One of my new favorite threads is....

What do I mod next? This is usually like post 6 for this guy, he hasn't filled out the garage, nor does he tell anything about his rig in the post.

My new response to this is going to be this.... If you have a manual tranny you need to get titanium shift forks, they are stronger lighter and wont break when you are break torqueing up a rock face. If you have an auto you need a trans brake and a wheelie bar(removable of course).

What you think?
