Two of my favorite things to do! Drive my jeep and shoot ground squirrels
I use air rifle PCP 22 cal Edgun R3 can smoke em out to 100 yards, makes hardly any noise. 120 shots per fill.

Have you ever seen the holes they make, a horse a cow or a person with a broken leg after stepping in one? Ranchers routinely poison these pest but the rancher I know would rather let me hunt them to keep the numbers down. He doesnt like to use poison for fear it will kill other animals. I never consider hunting a sport it's more like a way of life to be enjoyed and taken very serious. Hope that helps you.

Was just curious why they needed to go, I didn't think you were sadistic or anything. I shot hundreds of invasive birds as a kid, so I totally get where you're coming from.

Why can't you find ammo? Thought the mad buying craze was over?

Most ammo is plentiful here. However there are times where a certain caliber is not in stock... I usually buy in larger quantities to reduce the price and make sure I have some for a while. I shoot 9mm, 32acp, 40, 44mag, 45acp, 12g, .223 and 7.62x39. I try to keep a surplus on hand and when it gets low I buy more. I don't like .22, find it boring. Had a 22 pistol and rifle for learning/training purposes only. Sold them as I got bored with them.

Unless your being sarcastic, Its near impossible to find .22, 38 auto, 9m, 40S&W, 45ACP, .223/556, 7.62X39 and 30-06. If you can find it, its around .75-1.00 a shot.

Rule of thumb seems to be if you can find it, it's gonna cost you and you won't want to run it.... if you WILL run it it will cost you even more. Gun shop by me had a few 1k round russian wood crate surplus 7.62-39...... all yours I think for $399!

I reload my own. Carry gun is a Springfield loaded .45. I use an XDM for house pistol. I also follow Joe Bidens advice on Shotguns. But I won't confirm or deny I have a MSR/EBR.... Or 3

No I'm not being sarcastic. I'm from Canada and I have had no problem finding ammo. This is news to me.

st,

Down here there is an extreme shortage. Our DHS is buying it, people are buying guns for the first time and longtime shooters are hoarding. You can't even find Primers or projectiles.

Gotcha, makes sense then. Like people are saying there is a huge shortage. The Department of Homeland Security is buying hollow points by the hundreds of thousands which isn't helping any.

makes me glad i stocked up on .40 before things got hectic...AK around here is still fair priced at $300 for 1K rounds. .223 is still $500 for 1K rounds. my favorite rifle to shoot is my Russian M44 but ammo for that is starting to get scarce now.

I too like the Mosin and M44's. SVT-40 is even more fun. 7.62x54r is plentiful here, especially in surplus (corrosive) and more expensive SP & FMJ non-corrosive. SVT & Mosin:

I mainly use corrosive surplus for my SKS & VZ in 7.62x39. Also have Chinese non-corrosive for them. I had a Tokarev pistol that I really didn't care for, but shooting the steel core x25 surplus ammo was a hoot . My friend bought a new (unissued) Polish Tokarev and it is gorgeous.

Chinese surplus also has some steel as well as it failed my magnet test:

Is that Tokarev from the Zastava armory?

All that I know is it's a Polish Tok. Don't think there's much info on these. My friend brought it over and it's immaculate for a 60yr old pistol.

I have a Zastava M84a Skorpion. That's the only Zastava I own.

Reason why I ask is because Fleet Farm had a Zastava pistol for 250. Needless to say for 250 dollars you wernt getting much for your money.

Think my friend paid $215 for his unissued Tokarev. That 9mm Zastava looks like a Tokarev, except I've never seen a safety on a Tokarev before.

I thought these foreign guns weren't available in the US? Are these the pre-ban ones still left?

Looking through that store, always makes me envious of the stuff I can't get here

They're around here, but vary from region to region. The one I held felt like it was glued together and made out of paper. Granted I'm used to a steel framed Beretta.

Where did you get your SVT-40? That has been on my wish list for a while now.
