From a dealer who specializes in surplus firearms, in Montreal. There are tons of Russian surplus rifles here in Canada and many have SVT's. SVT-40 is one of my faves, definitely a fun large caliber rifle. Here's some:

The only rifle that is around here that shoots 7.62x54 is the Mosin. Which are going for 120-150 dollars now.

Yup, they are cheap as dirt. We have Polish and Russian M44's and SVT-40's that shoot the same round. SVT-38`s are rare, but do pop up once and a while.

We also have VEPR rifles that with 400 bucks into a kit gets you a rifle that looks and shoots like a dragunov.

Owning a Dragunov will put you in jail here. Some dickhead in Quebec killed a bunch of women in 1989 so we got nailed with gun control and mag limits.

If you want to see what we can't have (and laugh) here's something to read (just a summary someone put together, some have been reclassified since):

m0nkyman's prohibited firearms page

Save your money on stuff like that and buy custom m21's 1911's, 2011's, M1's, dreams to shoot in comparison.

Guns are icky, I can't believe you guys even have those things.

I only have these:

Plus about 55 others, some seem in here. Because when the Zombies come, you can never have enough guns or ammo.

Nope no R700s, in fact no Rem. 700s at all. The 2 green bolt guns in the safe are Savages. 1 is a .22lr and the other is 17HMR. I do have 4 ARs, an ACR, A Sig716 and the M1A Scout. and yes a ton of others. Everything from a takedown 10/22 to a Mosin Nagant, from a Kimber LPT .308, to a Henry Big Boy lever action in .45colt, and from an XD45 to numerous 1911s. Haven't raised an Army yet. Yet being the key word.

Was debating whether to say r700 or savage, actually.

.223 is everywhere. I can find .45s too. However no 9mm .40 or 45 GAP.

.22? Pffft you got a better chance of hitting the lottery than finding that.

However a bit of advice. If you have a cabelas near you with a wal mart near it, go to the wal mart. Chances are everyone goes to cabelas for ammo. I bought 5 boxes of .22, 2 weeks ago like that. Also scored a box when the guys at cabelas were restocking shelves.

I suppose this would work with bass pro and gander mtn too.

Haven't gotten my hands on one of those yet. Just waiting for a local shop to get one so I can play with it!

H&K make some fine pistols. I prefer them over glock but sig sauer comes close!

I love my 1911s though. Had a colt 1991 series 80 and I would not hesitate to use that pistol in any situation that arises.

I'm currently waiting on a 2011 from Infinity Firearms . Barrels in 9mm and 9x23mm for plinking and then putting serious holes in shit (hunting and SD). Also have a sig in .40 (it's OK) and Model 41 S&W for targets.

I think the government should hand out a 10/22 when you sign up for selective service or whatever it is at the post office when you turn 18. I have one, everyone has one. Its a damn American birth right at this point. Change the Constitution to give them out. They want to change it for everything else might as well make it good. Hahaha. Everyones first shooter I still have mine I got when I was 14. Love it, goes in the coffin with me with my AK and the 1911.

Love the Mini 30(it is a 30 right?) reminds me of so many bad shots from the A-Team and the Dan Wesson is bad ass.

No need to change it. The second amendment is for that exact thing, and the CMP is for distribution of military surplus rifles to American citizens... if only we could make Congress and the Pentagon follow their own laws....

Pretty sure that's a 14 there. Lop 6" off and that barrel whip will disappear.

Mmmmmm, Ruger.

It was a tongue in cheek joke against Congress and POTUS trying to make the Constitution fit their needs at the moment. As far as I'm concerned, I'm no legal or Constitutional scholar, but the 2A is pretty cut and dry and only a moron (see who I mentioned above) could misinterpret that. Im more worried, like most people, about the slow errosion of rights. Especially here in California and i wouldnt be surprised if in two or three generations if we aren't vigilant the 2A is relegated to the history books. Thats why we shouldn't compromise or its a slow death inch at a time. I heard CMP is out of rifles?
