Don't competitive shoot. But skeet shoot with my Remington 870 12 gauge with an assault stock. Shooting range with Smith & Wesson 357 shoot 38 specials than 357 mags when I want a kick back.

I belong to a local range and try to shoot a couple of times a month:

Springfield XD

Springfield "Loaded" edition M1911 45

Ruger MK III

I only compete with friends for the right to give one another crap. I usually win at long range (75+yds) but it is a toss up on the pistol range.

Nice! You'll get used to the .45 for sure, just give it some time on the range or the back 40.

Springfield "Loaded" and Glock 20

Wife has a Desert Eagle 1911G....yeah I thought it was corny too.....but it is actually a very nice piece.....all the performance of my "loaded" at half the price. Kinda pisses me off.

I picked up a Taurus PT1911. It's not the best one on the market, but it is for my price range. . . wasn't about to drop 1k+ on a kimber

Nothing wrong with that. I found the Springfield Loaded to be a good approximation of a Kimber, for a lot less

You're a sniper compared to me. My only rifle is a Bushmaster with a red dot for an optic. Not good out past 200 meters

at any gun store! its a remington 700 in a MDT Tac-21 chassis, timney trigger, 6.5 creedmoor chambered 28" Krieger SS medium Palma barrel, magpul PRS buttstock, Vortex Viper PST 24x FFP Mil-Mil, Badger Rings, 20 MOA base, custom gunkoting, AAC brake, and I pick up the AAC-SDN6 7.62 suppressor mid June!

Michael Shumaker in Stephenville, Tx did the gunsmithing, I highly suggest visiting him, he specializes in 1911s.

This was my moneypit before I bought the Jeep.

I do some local IDPA and IDPA styled matches when time permits. Glock 23 running a lone wolf 9mm match barrel. And I love speed steel when I get the chance.

Just started reloading as well.

Very nice, now I can see the R700 hiding in there.

the nice thing about a 1911 is you can build upon it, much like you would a jeep.
both mine have recived a tweak or two in order to fine tune them a little more. Just be prepared to be broke all the time. once you start, you wont want to stop

I just took out and sighted my Browning BAR 308 yesterday in preperation for some hog killing this weekend. Waiting on Remington to send back my R25 that they have had since October 2012 and then my family will be back together.
