OC's B-day fell on the same day I was concentrating on remember that one. The firearm is a good idea except I already dressed out an SKS for her and gave her one of my 9mm's

I think my Mother will have me sent up the river I will have to call her tonight and cower.:o

Whenever my dad forgets mother's day he reminds my mom that she is NOT his mother. It goes over really well.

Odhinn.... you're SCREWED. just saying.

At this point you should be out the door going to a store, or in your neighbors front yard stealing their flowers.

Yep, as a matter of fact since I was raised by my Mother and she also taught me how to hunt and survive off the land. Mom's are the greatest, well... unless they use your full name including the middle one to call you.

Sorry to hear that. I had both my parents but my Dad wasn't around much after the divorce and the transfer.

My dad worked but he still spent as much time as he could with us, so when we where kids we always made him a mothers day card to. Its kinda funny because I still call him and tell him happy mothers day Dad, and chuckle a little bit.

Made my wife cry!!!

Had a dozen lavender roses delivered to her. Unexpected gifts go over big time!! She is not my mother, but she is the mother of our child, and that means a lot to me. Happy Mother's Day moms!

Happy Mother's Day to all of the other Moms!

Hey OC, do you like the SKS? I shot Skeeter's and it was just a bit too long/front heavy for me. I like my AK-47. It's shorter and easier for me to shoot. What kind of 9mm?

amy, my GF feels the same with my Yugo SKS as you. Course, shes 4'11 90 lbs, but she felt the same way Didnt shoot it bad, just had a hard time holding it up, even sitting and supporting with ther knee. Was perdy entertaining watching her try to shoot it though

Happy mommys day!

Amy, I haven't had a chance to shoot the SKS yet. It is a bit heavy but Odhinn put the bi-pod on the front for me too. When we went to the range I preferred his Glock over the Taurus bit its a good little gun. It's the PT111 Millennium. Here's a pic of it.

The most enjoyable gun that I have ever had the pleasure of shooting was a Thompson/Center Pistol. My mom still has it and I hope she gives it to me one day. That may very well be my next pistol. Here's a good link to it: http://www.tcarms.com/firearms/g2ContenderPistols.php

Someone asked the wrong question.

Mothers day is a day to realize what your mother did for you. Enjoy your mother, respect your mother, treat your mother well.

Maybe that will swing it back

Some Mother's have nice arsenals.

Didn't mean to hijack the thread, I like guns and I'm a mother. If my kids hadn't had birthday parties to go to this weekend, we would have spent the weekend out wheeling and shooting.
Should we, maybe, start a new thread about guns?

So, what did the rest of WF do for Mother's day fun?

We went out to dinner at a really good Mexican restaurant, where Skeeter tried to get me liquored up on margaritas.
I had a nap (because of the margarita) then I talked to my Mom on the phone. A very laid-back Mother's day here. I enjoyed it.
