Harken Hoister #7803

Just got my Harken Hoister #7803 (145 lbs weight limit) and I'm reading the instructions, trying to figure out how this thing is supposed to lift and hold the top to my 2012 Wrangler Unlimited. Obviously the rear of the top is going to be heaviest, due to the windows being back there. How am I supposed to safely use the lift without the top tipping backwards and crashing to the floor?

Anyway, just wondering if by chance, someone wouldn't mind posting some highly detailed photographs or provide a highly detailed demo of how and where to strap up the top so it can be lifted safely.

Thanks!

The straps have to be adjusted to keep it from tipping. I installed mine and then lifted the top from the floor using the hoist. I had to adjust the location for the EYE-Bolt where the pull rope comes down, I had the hardtop on a pair of saw horses and adjusted the straps from there. Make sure you have the straps come up above the hardtop on the front and back. Im at work now, so I cant get any detailed pics. Ill try to get you some when I take a break.

Thanks! So according to what I'm grasping, the ropes come through the rear and attach in the front, and I just need to make sure the ropes are in front of and behind the top...

Yea, the ropes attach to the straps, the straps go thru the hardtop.

Okay, I think I got it! Once I get the thing installed, I'll find out very quickly!
