Exclamation Harry Potter Author Possible Time's Person of the year?

Seems like the votes are saying so?

lesser of the evils? Pretty sad those are our only choices.

Damn, that's a pretty pathetic selection of candidates.
The only two on there worth a crap are General Petraeus and Condoleezza Rice.

You know, it's a damn shame they have to use a poll to decide the person of the year. Don't they have anyone running that rag who can stand up and make a damn decision? I'm so sick of everything being based on a poll! What are the criteria? Who matches best? Issue resolved! Simple!

I always wondered why they never seem to pic a real person, like a cop or firefighter who went above and beyond. A paramedic who went into a firefight to render aid. There are a lot more "people of the year" than those on that list.

Well, that's another good point, but I can almost understand why they want someone everyone would know, cuz heaven forbid the media have to take the time to tell a story in its entirety, when they can just take a poll and regurgitate all the same crap that has been in the media for the past year! How about a Medal of Honor recipient?

On that note, we now have the Medal of Honor museum here in Charleston. Awesome place. Be sure to stop in for a visit if passing through. It's inside the WWII aircraft carrier USS Yorktown.

If nominated, I will not run.

If elected, I will not serve.

Polls are just an "end around" the media is running on the public so the public thinks they have influence. They don't stop and think why the polls are structured, worded, and the choices listed are the way they are. Guess if you put enough ridiculous names on that poll Hillary could find her way to #1 and then they'd tell us "the public has spoken". I better stop before I make myself throw up. Rant off.
