Have you ever been arrested?

Just like the title says. Have you ever been arrested? Please don't put why you were arrested, as that is not improtant...just curious to see how many of you have seen the light of day from behind bars...

I'll start...yes I have..for that matter, 3 times....

Never been "arrested", but I have had to go to the station for questioning.

once in April 2004 (age 16) brought to the station, picked up by my dad

once in April 2007 (age 19) arrested, charged, released on recognance

once on July 19th and once on July 20th, 2007...paid bail and released both times.

once on Sept 10th 2007, arrested, questioned at the station, and released on recognance.

Turned myself in on a bench warrant on Dec 29th, 2007, released from county jail on Dec 31st.

once in March 2008.

7 times, 6 of which are within the last year.

And all of this happened before my joining the Army, and I was still accepted.

Arrested? Officially no...

But I did spend the night in a city jail cell full of drunks after being picked up in a cemetery where my friends and I were smoking pot. Fortunately, it was gone when the cops showed up. They busted us for a curfew violation. I was 13 at the time.

Yes. It was my 18th birthday present from the police department. I was arrested for not going to defensive driving school for a speeding ticket. Actually what happened was; I took the class and the driving school never submitted my records to the court. Back then the driving schools were responsible for sending the paperwork in. So on my 18th b-day they threw my ass in jail for about 4 hours.

The judge and the driving school managed to get everything straight and the driving school closed down about two months later. Dumb asses.

Nope. Never been arrested. But it's still morning, and there's alot of day left.

I've been extraordinarily lucky throughout my life by not getting arrested for some of the bone-headed things I've done. Nothing TOO illegal, just for being stupid. All those crop circles tend to leave the farmers a little pissed!!

And I won't mention some of the things I've seen and done in the Army....

Yes. If you were cuffed, and read your rights, it counts.

Yes. However, they had to let me go when I passed the breathalizer test....and man were they mad when I refused a second test. NJ only requires 1 test and that's all they were going to get. It's a trick when they ask you to take a second one....they want to see if you system metabolized the alocohol at a later time point.

They hit me with a whole mess of trumped up charges that I had my lawyer get rid of.

I learned a very valuable lesson: Your freedom is proportional to how big your wallet is to buy it back.

I was cuffed and stuffed once, spent an hour or two in the holding cell then they got my info gave me my court info and sent me out with door to walk back to my car which was 3 miles away.....assholes

I was even found not guilty after $900 of bullshit legal crap. How can someone who is innocent from the start and found innocent later in court still have to pay $900? I was even an 18 year old high school student so its not like $900 was easy to come by.

Turned myself in for a bench warrant. Pics and Prints but no Cuffs, No Rights. Paid the fine and walked out the door. Never saw a cell, and took less than 30 minutes.

once in 1986 for playing mailbox baseball, I was 17. Rights read at my house, had to go to court. once in 1988 for driving on suspended lic. in Kansas. Cuffed and stuffed for about 2hrs till I could bond out. I am surprised I didn't get caught more back then

heh.. they've tried..

my dad held up a sheriffs son at gun point when he broke into my house.. ever since then the guy has been out for me..

he goes as far as parking in my driveway when i have a party.. like someone is going to walk out there drunk..

ive been pulled over and searched by him like 10 different times.. once he tried to arrest me when he was on his police bike.. i laughed at him and asked him if he expected me to walk 10 miles to the jail behind his bike.. i also told him no way in hell id ride for my first time on a bike hugging his fat ass..

oh and last year when i was working commercial construction.. i was in a liquor store parking lot when a fellow employee jumped out and took a pee.. cops came and i blew a .12 (2 days before my 19th birthday).. lets say they searched my jeep, found 30 empty beer cans, half a half gallon of jager, and 2 full cases of beer, as well as some other things that i need not mention..

the cop was actually cool and let me keep EVERYTHING, even the illegal stuff lol.. and the guy who got the cops called on us went inside and grabbed some more jager as i was receiving my ticket.. (i was the only one under age) the cop followed my back to the hotel to make sure i wouldnt wreck my jeep =p he said it was too nice to wreck, and only trusted me to drive it LOL (i ended up paying a 150$ ticket and the judge tried hooking me up with his daughter.. no joke either)

and ive been put in handcuffs probably like 5 times, sat and waiting on the police's backup to come only to be release on mistaken identity.. (same kid everytime.. he kept robbing gas stations and eventually the caught him.. i guess he looked identical to me)

Now, is that 12 1/2 times? Or is it 18 times? 'Cuz I gotta know......how do you get pulled over 1/2 a time? Do they ALMOST pull you over? Or do they actually pull you over only to let you go once you've completed the full pullover manuever?

Ok, for an exact number... about 10 and a half times.

I say a half because I was driving a friends Toyota Supra around Saguaro Lake(AZ members might know this location) on a long straight away and punched it, doing about 85-90 and a HWY patrol officer pulled out from behind a tree and I stopped because of some super sharp turns ahead that I was not going to be taking at 90mph. I pulled over and the officer walked up to me and started the asking the usual stuff. Not one minute goes by and some dink on a crotch rocket flies by doing ~100mph or more. The cop says, "Take it slow please." and runs back to his car to chase down the bike.
