I really hate cameras also. Apparently we don't have enough police to actually do the job. However I feel it's more likely that the police we DO have around here pick & choose which laws to enforce.

Yea... I thought that was a bit rediculous. Of course if I want to pay EXTRA I can keep it off my driving record & take traffic school. Last time I checked, isn't that extortion?

Kalifornia seems to think its a way to raise "extra" revenue.

Florida does as well. They are only after cash and dont bother with points. Cali hu? That explains why the ticket is so high.... thats $100 ticket in florida...

You should able to get the video online that shows you going through the intersection. In WA, it's $124 and does not go on your driving record.

My replacement bumper finally came in today so I get to put that on this weekend in the rain/cold. Need to clean the garage again.

I hate working in the cold. Seems like your wrench always slips off more in the cold and busts your knuckles up. Good luck and I hope you don't get rain!

Thanks. Right now it's only a chance of rain, but should be too bad. Might just clean up the garage enough to get the front end in.

It's random but that line reminded me of that episode of the Simpsons where Homer has bypass surgery. "Bed goes up, bed goes down. Bed goes up, bed goes down."

Morning Mack!

So... how bad is it that my Christmas Tree is still up? It's still green so I'm hoping it's not too bad.

Well, found out today what the "fiscal cliff" deal is gonna mean for me. My paycheck is gonna be about $146/mo lighter than it used to be. What fun! Wonder if I can get the Prez to approve a pay raise for me too!?

Normally, I would agree that primitive is best. As I get older, I notice that if I'm not alone, the more conveniences available, the happier everyone is. Campgrounds can be great. If it were just me and the kiddo out learning & wheeling, primitive is the way to go.

But... ya gotta disconnect from the interwebs!!

Hey there, USMC! Yeah, haven't been active much lately. Hope you all had a great Christmas & New Year! You & I seem to be in the same boat regarding the fiscal cliff agreement. My pay will go down around $1,500 a year, give or take. Glad they figured out the problem was not enough taxes instead of runaway spending.

Which sucks because I haven't had a raise in two years because of freezes. No raise + moar tax + inflation - lube = sore butt.
