Lost my job yesterday. All these women were in the room crying when they found out and I'm sitting there with a shit eating grin on my face and kind of worried that security was going to think I was about to flip out. This is the happiest I've been in a long time. I would have been there 10 years in October and I hated my job. It got harder and harder to go in there every day.

Lots of the base was off a long weekend also... Easter isn't a federal holiday, and I'm pretty sure there aren't days off for other religions...just saying fair is fair. I didn't get any days off so it doesn't impact me either way.

Not sure if this is a "Hey that's awesome." or "Dude, sorry to hear that." moment. Sounds like you're ok with it, so that's good at least. Keep kickin, we live vicariously through you man!

Sucks that you lost your shitty job Six. Glad you're happy with it.

Welcome back Bugs.

I get this mojito line seasoning from Costco that a put on my chicken that's pretty damn good.

Ive heard that Mojito Lime stuff was pretty tasty too....maybe have to try it sometime.

I usually just season one side of a chicken breast with some garlic salt and cayenne pepper. Then the other side with some montreal steak seasoning. Grill it at 400 for 12 minutes the first side, 10 the other side (12 if its a thick piece).. and thats it. Tastes pretty good. Otherwise I will use some cummin, cracked black pepper, ancho chili powder and sometimes even mustard powder. Made my own marinade of red wine vinegar with mustard powder, salt and pepper with a little olive oil and it does pretty good too (doubles as salad dressing).

I would replace the red wine vinegar with balsamic. I make breakfast sausage with the mojito lime, a little brown sugar and some black pepper. Good stuff.

Did the balsamic, it soaked in real well but I wasnt a fan of the flavor. I had made a balsamic reduction to make it a really sweet syrup as a pork chop glaze though and it turned out well.

Six, the females will be back, just give em time.

Fellas, I just switched from lump charcoal to a gas grill. I like the shorter wait time, but miss the 'art' of cooking with 'real fire'.

I recommend some avoidance of the "kini rule"... Although a huge success on some levels, much butthurt ensued and the clubhouse got shut down. I think Rach made em all jealous.

I would agree on all parts of your post sir!

Ive grown quite fond of my gas grill. Enough to cook Pizza's on too... which is really fun. Able to get the heat really high fast, then only leave one burner on for indirect heat.... something hard to do with charcoal.

It's my first gas grill. I went simple and got the Weber Q200. It has only one burner, and I'm still learning with it. I live in an apt, so space was a consideration also.
When I buy my home, I think I'll have a gas line put into the patio...

My grill is gas, charcoal and infrared. Love it. Don't really use the infrared burner very much. Mostly use charcoal, since I always forget to get the gas filled.

LOL, that would be me too. Gas isn't as cheap as I thought it would be.
