Jodi is a good name. Looking at your pics, she looks long and spindly, so Spindles, came to my mind........

I had a rottweiler, that I got from the pound, and named her Olga, because she was so big, and yet so loveable.

Jodi is a great name.

Had a horse named Spark plug when I was a teen.
Motorhead from the beginning.

Kudo's to you for going to the Humane Society. Some of the best dogs I've ever had have come from there. Good luck!

Just curious. Do you pronounce the name Jo-dee or Yo-dee? Just wondering if your going to use a soft "j" sound.

It would be Jo-dee, as in the pig from Amityville Horror.

Great looking Dog he would be great at Frisbee! I sent you a PM with info. do a search for Disc Dogs Clubs in your area I think you will be surprised at what you find. They are very open to new people and will help you train him. Just remember he will be off leash so you need to have some obedience training to control him.

It is all in your state of mind at the time. This is my last dog Storm you just got to talk to them so they know what you want.

BTW try to teach your dog to sit in a 5 point harness!

Yes that is part of the Austrailian Shepard Mearl color. That is my buddy and Jeep dog for 15 years. When he passed we spread his ashes on one of the trails we run all the time. I got Rain 4 days after loosing Storm as it was way to quiet in the house.
BTW sorry for the thread hyjack but I had help

Ah, AD named her already and it's a dog thread, so it's not really a hijack, just a tangent.

I was thinking about trying to ride with her without the doors.

Strap her in. You should have a harness on her regardless in the jeep, but it's a must without the doors. Maybe she won't boot without the doors

I can't wait for that day. I just got done cleaning up from the last episode. Atleast now she's aiming for the floorboards and not the seat. She's a smart puppy.

Darn, can you tell that Storm left a big vacancy?
I say that with a lot of respect. Please don't think anything else, than that.

It's the mark of a truely fine pet owner that the loss of a furry family member leaves a void. I'd spent years refusing to get another dog because the loss of my last dog Alice was horrible. Then someone threw Amee over my fence. She's a great dog.

I take Amee is a small dog or you have a low fence.

Blu you are right. I always remember I took a co-worker on a run one weekend that had never been offroad. We did a hard trail and the jeep worked great. When we got back to work on Monday all he talked about to everyone was that how cool Storm was as he understood every word I said. I thought that was funny.
You get a connection with your dog, Storm and I had a very close connection. Rain is different but we are starting to get a connection that works for us.
If only women worked that way.

She's a pitbull-lab mix. But she was horribly under-weight and had just had a litter of puppies which we never found. She was covered in ticks and bites and was the most timid thing I'd ever seen.

She hung around and I didn't want a dog but I couldn't bare watching her eat dead things in the yard so I started feeding her. The humane society took three days to come out and by then she had a name and a home.
