Help! Moving a bird's nest

We have a little Carolina wren who built her nest in our garage, in a motorcycle helmet. The helmet was sitting on top of a little wooden pedestal, in clear reach of our Labs. She has a few eggs in the nest, and comes back all the time to sit on them. I make sure she's in the nest before I close up the garage at night.

Since the helmet was in such a vulnerable place, I moved it to sit on top of another car we have covered in the garage, a place where no dogs can reach it but we can still keep an eye on her comings and goings. I heard her outside the garage, pissed as hell when I moved it, but I'm sure she saw were it went - all of 20 feet.

Is she going to abandon her eggs, or realize the nest is safer now? I'm going to be sick if I find out that moving them caused her to leave, but I know that as soon as the babies start making noise, the Labs will become very interested.

she will find it. If not, your labs will have a free nutritious snack.

They can't reach it at all.

"if she abandons them" (then) at worst the dogs CAN get a snack. never mind, it was a joke.

I know it was a joke! It's ok, though. She found it. I'm relieved.
