Help with the email notification...

when I first joined this forum, I clicked on the e-mail notification button, not realizing I would spend so much time here, or the volume of traffic would be so high. I have gone back and tried to undo it but I don't seem to doing the right thing. I am a member of another forum that I rarely go to anymore for my Ranger, so I need that, but this place is WAY better to hang out in.....

Let me go to the moderator control panel and see if I can fix it up for you. If not, we may need an admin to do it.

I'll be back....

Well, hell. An admin will have to do it. I can change it, but I can't make it save. I don't have the right permissions.

If you can't figure it out, then PM 1blkjp, khenderson, or deverhart. They will be happy to do it for you.

I changed your setting to Not Subscribe to threads. So you should no longer see the notification emails.

Thanks, when I joined, I thought this was just a good forum. I didn't foresee that I would practically live here! (thanks AJ for the attempt) Y'all don't realize how much I appreciate y'all, and this community! (I've got WF logo's on both sides of my Jeep!)

Thanks again,

Jack

We might have to put Jack on notice.

I'm sure he'll check into it and see what the problem is, jjseel. He's on top of things pretty well.

Can't you just go to your User CP, edit Options and change the default thread subscription mode for the new ones? Then go to List Subscriptions, select all and for the lower drop box titled Selected Threads choose an appropriate notification for the already subscribed threads.

I thought that's what I had done for him. Don't know why it didn't work.

Problem is, I read just about everything, and every time I click on a new thread, it sends more notices...I wouldn't lose any sleep over it, got cable at home and the comp at work is very fast, doesn't take that long to delete everything.
