It was awesome! It was my second real run and a real eyeopener for a newbie. We started at Dishpan, then hit Holcomb, and finished up with a trail that took us down to the hwy. The spotters combined with my Rubi got me thru without betting stuck or any real carnage. The MJR guys are a great group of people and I'm absolutely looking forward to hitting the trails agian with them again soon. Hope to have a chance to wheel with the WF crew too!

Tiny's putting a ride together in that same area in a couple of weeks.

Those MJR guys sure do get out a lot. Some of them are coming up this way at the end of the month.

I saw your video it was great.

If I'm available, I'd love to join you guys up in Big Bear! I'll keep an eye out for a thread.

Where in California are you located?

Are there a lot of good places to wheel up there? I've heard that Lake Isabela has some cool areas and I'm hoping to conquer Miller Jeep trail soon, but I figure both of those would be a ways south for you. Do you know of any cool places to wheel in the Sequoia or Yosemite area?

Was that the one where you could hear Sharon reminding me to breathe? (Holcomb Rock Garden)

There are several in the Shaver area. Ducey is popular, Swamp Lake, Coyote Lake, Bald Mountain are all good trails. Since I live more towards Yosemite I'm about 1.5 hrs away from those trails. There are some very simple/very short trails in the immediate area where I live.

My parents live out in Oakdale which is a couple of hours from Yosemite . . . I was up there for a couple of years and Yosemite became one of my favorite places on earth! Had a chance to ride thru with my dad after he bought a motorcycle a couple of years back, and have camped and hiked, but I can only imagine the views, trails, nature, etc that you'd be able to experience wheeling in those areas. Let me know if you ever hear of a run up there and I'll see if I can take some time off from work, and maybe hit the trails for a couple of days and chill with the folks for a couple as well!
