"surrogate adult figure" works in my book. It's like a supervisor but a different name. Plus there are more strings attached, like on the emotional side of things.

Good morning. I'm here for a few minutes. Then off to the house-building.

Umm... right.

Just don't ask for an allowance. I can barely afford the ones I got under roof.

That wasn't very comforting. Watch out, or you'll be demoted... Lol

You are more than welcome to come down and wield a hammer. Any minute now, the missus will come give me a dirty look, which is my clue to get to work.

Tennessee. And I, myself, was in a head on collision about a year ago. It was a fatal crash. I had to go to counseling and take sleeping meds for a while, so I know.

Rehab? Not exactly rehab, but I still have times where I think about that day. If a car even touches the middle line, I freak, to be honest. I took a lot of abuse on a local forum too, because everyone was in denial about it being the guy's fault. "I hope she can live with taking a father away from his 12 year old daughter" was one of the comments.

That is total BULLSH!T!!!

First, you had to go through such a traumatic event. Which, it sounds like you were an innocent victim.

Then, to have so-called "adults" saying crap like that. How irresponsible.

I hope somebody set 'em straight and they came to their senses.

Yeah, a woman who knows me personally got on there and told them the truth, it shut them up, but don't think they still wouldn't blame me. I was a minor at the time, so thankfully my name was never released.

Well that's good. Did you ever tell us how it was his fault?

What do you mean? He topped a curved hill, on my side of the road, going twice as fast as me, and boom.

For the boys....

Left is our daughter. Middle is our "stray". Can't stay at home, so we've "adopted" her. The remaining 3 are visiting. All are rising JR/SR in high school.

There are 3 more missing from this crowd. Good thing. Every time you add 1, the noise level in my house doubles.

All the girls in my house are like 10 and under. Dang little sister. When you add one of them it triples.

Did you have to get permission for that picture?

Yeah... that was definitely your fault. NOT!

Hope you are doing better, now.

What kind of vehicles were involved?

It was on MY camera, so I must own it. You notice I didn't give personal info?

My 07 JK and a 99 F150. After seeing the carnage, I vowed to never own a ford, and to never not own a Jeep.

An F150? And he died. Note to self, never get another Ford.

There are quite a few threads on this forum showing Jeeps after accidents. It's surprising how many people walked away from a totaled Wrangler.

It is quite surprising how many people do. It's a very good first car lol, won't get hurt in it. And my girlfriend's mom is worried about when I'm doorless... maybe I should show her some pictures from here...

All the scene workers, which there was a ton (3 ambulances, 2 firetrucks, a helicopter, and at least 20 state troopers and sheriffs) said their next vehicles would be jeeps. I wrote a letter intended for the manufacturers of Jeep, that very day, but I never sent it.
