No. That discipline has it's purpose. For somebody. Not sure who, mind you.

Which makes no sense to me. With all the manual work that you do on your Jeep, Philosophy would seem to be a dichotomy. (and all the boys are going to dictionary.com.)

Honestly, i would think you would be more of a "Mechanical".

Yes. If you need some Physics help shoot me up. Me and my roomie are good with physics haha. It's sad when you watch a video in Physics and have seen it twice or more on TV.... and answer the work sheet that goes alone with the video (word for word almost) BEFORE it starts and get almost all the answers word for word...

Go find a mudhole and relax. You and the Jeep need a timeout.

Actually, I've always had the ability to literally do anything I wanted to do. Sounds cheesy, I know. Lol A great mind powers these abilities. I just recently got into the whole mechanical thing, because summer's here, I get bored, and the jeep needs some work. I like to be well-rounded and develop strengths in multiple aspects of life. Intellect, which follows with philosophy and reasoning, is my favorite though.

True statement. My girls are scared of grease. Except for my oldest one. She has finally got to the point where she helps her husband work on the Cherokee.

Being "well-rounded" got one of my counselors to push me towards west point I considered but, alas, it's not what I want right now. You just need to get into some music playing Rocky!

Save that statement. With a little tweaking, that looks good on a resume. Want me to edit?

I kind of wish I had taken Physics in HS, but they only offered it online senior year. Plus, I had doubled on sciences 2 years in a row, and didn't need it.

I took two years of Physics, Adv. and AP. I loved that class. We did some cool stuff and some crazy stuff. Plus our AP Chem teacher sucked... So I didn't go near that.

Ha! Lucky your counselors noticed you, instead of throwing you into the glob known as the senior class. Lol I would love to learn piano and guitar. Hoping to learn in college at some point in time.

You turned down a commission to West Point? I'd like to know why. And I will NOT ridicule you.

I was born there.

Being facetious? Lol I've answered a few people's never-ending questions, about what I want to be when I grow up, with the statement that I want to be a Renaissance woman. Sure it's a joke, but I see it as being somewhat true.

I didn't turn one down, I never was offered anything. My counselor just pushed me down that path a little, but it wasn't something i was really interested in. My father was in the army, Active for 6 years and reserves for... I forget how many now. I though about West Point and just decided it wasn't for me. I may eventually go into the Reserves though...

Well, I was in "The Academy" which is a magnet program in our county... So the lady who ran the whole thing was our counselor. So there was one person for only 60 of us per grade PLUS our regular school counselor. I tested into most magnet programs around here, and they're extensive. Liberal Arts, Math and Science, or a program for the performance arts. I picked Liberal Arts, I liked the school best...

No. Seriously. You crafted that pretty well. If I could share some of the ones that I've been punished by, you would cry. Hard. Tears of laughter..

I went to a rural county high school. It was horrible. Few programs for intelligent kids that were interested in a future beyond a McDonald's drive-thru. I hated that place, tbh.

That sucks... we have 5 public high school each with their own magnet program. Two liberal arts. One with math/science, then one with performance arts. Okay I lied one doesn't have a magnet program, unless you count the fact that it's the only one with a built in daycare as a magnet program?...

Well you've just experienced my greatest talent of all. I'm quite the linguist. Lol I make statements that sound thought out and hand-crafted. They don't always translate well through text, however. A great trait for a philosophy major, eh?

Our area used to have several high schools. They did away with those and threw about 7 feeder schools into one giant hell hole. I drove about 30 minutes one way, everyday.

Ouch. Budget cuts or something? Sometimes the big high school idea works BUT they have to have the budget, resources, and size of multiple high schools.

A budget didn't exist for that place. Lol I'm not sure, just glad I made it out before the asbestos was stirred up.

Sounds terrible! It's bad enough that our school has about 600 extra kids stuffed in, but almost double the capacity would be terrible...

You all are killing me.

My graduating HS (i went to 4 different ones) was literally K-12. Yes. kindergarten - Senior. in one building. with all ages during class change. We spent more time making sure the little ones got to the right class, then we did socializing.
