Exactly. But you also have to read a text in order to respond to it, right? Lol

How do you know they are long you spend 5 seconds looking down .
Next time you riding with someone look down and close your eyes for 5 second then open them see how far you've traveled that's enough time for you go off the road or hit an incoming car or the back of one .
Or even on the interstate 70mph+
5 seconds not looking is a long time

Simply put, there is no way to defend texting while driving. I don't care how good you think you are at it. The fact is that your mind is elsewhere when it should be focused solely on driving.

Neither does typing with an iPhone. Lol. It's harder to remember 100s of random number combinations than to form a basic sentence. At least for me.

I'm a fast reader and usually on read them at stop signs or lights etc.

I don't normally text while driving at all. It's only if something important needs to be said, the road is clear and straight, and I'm the only one in my jeep. To me texting is as second nature as talking or tuning the radio or drinking coffee or looking out the window. All of those things distract you from driving. If you think texting is dangerous then I think that all those things are equally dangerous. I'm not arguing or defending anything, just stating how I feel. I don't think texting while driving is safe. It is however acceptable in some circumstances. I don't text on the highway either. If the law says not to text then I will obey the law. /endrant

Only a mall in bellevue would have a Tesla dealer INSIDE the mall. Their mistake was putting it on the 2nd level. Whenever they bring in a new car they have to pay a crane to lift the car and put it through the front door on the 2nd level then they push it through the mall.

They have a good amount of torque since its electric and its kind of a small space to get through on the top level on the sides so if they hit the pedal to hard theyre screwed. Plus if they do crash its just some glass seperating the ground below and a brand new Tesla...
