I've had my yj since October. The closest place to legally wheel is almost two hours away. I'm hoping to make a trip down there this summer just to get it out of my system and see what it's all about and see what my jeep can do. To say the least I'm excited haha

Good man, illegal wheeling is what makes us off roaders look like dicks. Ive never done illegal wheeling, we only go to state owned land and get our passes, go on logging roads, or go places that we know is ok after asking the sheriffs that usually patrol the areas.

The closest trails to me is about 45 minutes without traffic but its worth it. I cant go more than a month or 2 at most without wheeling.

I prefer frowned-upon-locations. But really I don't go wheeling in urban areas anymore

There was one time where I went down this trail following a buddy who said he always goes there, that turned into a hiking trail...... I didn't do any damage to the trail because I have really wide tires but my buddy made a few ruts in his Cherokee. Most of the time we go to places that aren't "legal" but everybody goes there all the time. There's always dirt bikes and quads and I've never heard of anyone getting in trouble so it's all good

So since I graduated high school, joined the military, searved 9 years, got out, went to a trade school instead of a college, then got a civilian job. Does that still count since I have yet to start "college" ?

No cause you made me read too much

And trade school/military/job counts, but we don't really care. Now that all the people who started this thread are no longer in high school it doesn't really matter.

Was just looking at rock sliders and I really like the look of these:

Skid Row MountainScape Rocker Panel Guards for TJ

I live in TN so it's extremely appropriate. I feel like I could make this on the plasma cam at school super easily, just cut the whole thing out flat then give it a 90 degree bend. I'm just thinking that I would want rails too, and can't decide if I would like the look of rails on this design.

Also found this bumper

Love the look. Anybody have any experience with rough country? I haven't gotten any of their stuff yet.

The last time I was in mud it was right when the snow was melting so it was really slick. Got into a couple sketchy situations on some steep hills with drop offs into water. I was lucky to only come out with a bent fender flare.
