X2 on comfirt factor. But im also under the opinion that you should test in what you will be driving. But if you aren't very good with the 3rd pedal yet then leave it be.

Plus it is always fun to nake the proctors ride in something not so comfortable.

I had to borrow a friend's JKU since mine didn't pass the test. It was jacked up, extremely rough riding, and had really loud mud tires. And can't forget the mud on the inside

How does any of that matter in oklahoma? It should have been fine if the lights and blinkers etc where clean enough to see. My friend took his test in a 79 f350 with a 400 big block and 44" TSL boggers haha

In mass you have to take the stupid road test in a car not SUV can or truck and details what can be used. That's Massachusetts for you

Yeah you can, not sure how expensive it would be to do it though. I want to put a 4bt in mine in the future. Just gotta pony up about $6-7k first...

It doesn't sound cheap.. a diesel would be sick af, I heard you could get like 30mpg out of the 4bt in a TJ. If I had the money I would do an LS swap out of a corvette, of course that's a good $15000 maybe more.

Yeah about 26-28 is normal for the 4bt from what I've seen. I'd have gobs of torque too haha. I've seen some LS swaps on youtube though and they are pretty sick.

That's awsome mpg! I heard they are putting a diesel in the 2016 JKs. Now all they need todo is start dropping in HEMIs after that

I saw that too! I don't know why they haven't put diesels in all the JKs. But you could always pay out the butt for AEV to put a Hemi in for you.

Yeah there's alot more mods I would rather do for $30k.. but it would be sick! I think they were scared it might not sell very much since diesel prices are crazy high nowadays. Plus I think its going to be extremely expensive when it comes out..

It probably will be.. I'll just stick to the 4bt if/when I go diesel.

Look for a 4.0 preferably. Auto and manual are both fine, depends on preference. Manuals are known for synchro problems (crunchy shifting) so be aware of that before you buy. Look under carpets for rusted floorpans, etc. Check frame extensively for rust and rot. Check rear axle. It's better to get one with a D44 rear if possible, IMO. Saves money and fab work for an 8.8. Check seals of both axles for leaks, as well as the trans, engine, and t-case. Test drive of course and listen for unusual things. If it's lifted, check the t-case skid for spacers and rear driveline to see if SYE has been installed. Check for driveline vibes during test drive if lifted. Check all the tires to make sure they are the same size. Two different size tires on an axle may cause/have caused damage. Check the tub for rust. Check soft top for leaks/rips/holes (if applicable). Look at suspension and frame for any kind of damage. I would try to buy one that's close to stock to make sure you aren't buying someones mistake. That's about all I can think of!

If it is the 2.5 then you either have the AX4 or the AX5. If it is the 4.0/4.2 then you have the AX15... If we're speaking of standard transmissions aka manuals.

It's good man, it's good. Busy. Workin on the jeep A LOT. I know it's not. I try to hang around but no one else is ever here. The atmosphere on WF has just changed too much. And we use AMJ a lot more now. You need to post up more over there, you can just shoot the bull w/ us or whatever. Or even in HSJT on fb. How is your summer going and how was your school year and all that?

It definitely has, WF is so much different now. I'll start posting more in AMJ though for sure. I've been following your 8.8 build on there and it looks solid. But my summer is going great. Took the Jeep all the way down to Tampa for a week with no problems which is definitely a good thing lol. School was really good, I finished up freshman year on the Dean's List. So much different than high school but in a good way. I'll also be taking my Jeep this year so might be doing some wheeling with Chris since he's nearby.
