I think I'll go with the 2" painter's tape. Did you use a satin black finish?

Um.... I think. I'll have to go check tomorrow. It's in the garage but the alarms on. Don't want to wake everyone up at almost 3 AM turning it off lol.

I think I'll try painting them tomorrow, after I finish fixing my sway links. Shouldn't be too hard...Bad idea in extreme heat though?

Yeah. Except he used a ton of tape! Lol. If I can find it I'll look for the pictures of my jeep with all the newspaper on it. If you saw my jeep on the first page (Second picture, the Orange TJ with the White JKU, mines the TJ of course) that's how my flares look now.

Also, as some people posted in that guys thread, take your lights out of the flare when you paint them. Put some newspaper in behind the hole to catch the spray.

The ones in my profile are like right after I painted them. My jeeps acquired a lift, I painted my rims, some of InfernoGirls seat covers and some black front corner guards on the fenders since then lol.

As far as I can tell, they still look sweet. lol Seems as if mine were painted at one point, but horribly, because it's cracking and exposing a faded bluish-grey underneath.

Wow. That sounds kind of bad. I'd say do what prep work you can on them if you're going to paint them.

Hmmm, that might work. Read around on that one though... I'm not totally sure. I need to work on cleaning my disconnects up, plus plan some stuff for the girlfriends birthday tomorrow... Oh man that means I'll be baking some brownies oh jeez. Jeep work and baking... Odd combo.

Haha. Well she wanted cupcakes or brownies. She wanted me to plan a whole day together. Oh jeez. Pool in the morning before it's too hot and crowded. Picnic for lunch. I'm thinking dinner and a movie the finish up, but I've got a gap...

I wish, no I'll find something to do. Maybe the mall or something like that. Go on a walk after/before the picnic for sure.

No no she does, but I'm sure she'd rather not do things with it tomorrow. I taught her how to drive stick shift so she could drive the jeep. She loves it more than she thought she would, and loves driving when she's not in the best of moods. Besides, who doesn't like driving with the top down and the doors off.

Everyone should learn to drive stick, especially girls. Makes me sad to hear my kind say they don't know how. lol I guess someone who doesn't like hats wouldn't like it very much. lol

Well, I guess so. Couldn't they just take the hat off? It actually helps that she can drive stick. We had a concert at school, the last one. I had been sickish before hand but I'm big leadership wise. Especially in the set up and tear down of all the stuff before and after. She forced me to let her drive since I felt like crap. Which helps.

I meant someone who doesn't like hats wouldn't like driving with the top and doors off. Idk if everyone wears a hat, but I have to. lol

Lol. And I just realized why you need a hat. The baking comment should have tipped me off first. But I'm a bit slow at 4 AM.
