I usually keep mine holstered on my hip when driving.

There are several vehicle holster mounting options available. Just do a search on the web.

Always keep in on yourself if at all possible. A wrangler does not offer much security and would be too easy for someone to snatch up your ccw.

Paddle holsters give you the option of not having to wear a belt and being able to remove it with ease.

Safest place is in your hand
Second safest is on your hip.

after that its guess work and luck....neither of those are very secure

I bought a Tuffy lock box for under the seat in case I cannot carry into an establishment, but usually have my gun on my hip.

I am a big fan of the BlackHawk SERPA holsters. I have the CQC and Level 3 holsters for my Glock. It is warn on the hip via the paddle, on the leg via the tactical holster platform or can be worn on the shoulder harness.
Its a great platform that can be modified and changed to suit any need and any weapon.

A better holster than the SERPA is the safariland ALS paddle holster.

I have had small rocks get into the button of the SERPA holster and I was unable to transition from primary to secondary. Not a good thing. Just food for thought.

Check out bullhidebelts.com, every one of the people I have shown it to buy one, and while your at it get a belt from them so you have a great carry rig. When you get the holster look into getting the security strap on the holster. That just makes sure it stays in the holster in case the arm of a chair catches the barrel of your gun while your setting down.

I have worn a SERPA for over 5 years, in Afghanistan, Iraq and a few other places. Never had an issue, and never known anyone who has. YES I have read of some issues, but as I said I have never known of anyone personally having an issue.

That was my experience during a 3 carbine class. I wouldn't have issues with the holster system if it where not for first hand experience.

I usually have a Colt 1911 in .45 acp or other full size fighting pistol on my strong side hip for when I am out of the Jeep, there is a Glock 27 (.40 cal) in a Galco Ankle Glove which makes for easy access when seating in the Jeep.
