Holy Cow

If I wanted to live in the desert, I would move to Africa. It ain't supposed to be this way in Arkansas. I just mowed my brown grass (I gave up on watering, just watering the trees to keep them from dying. The water evaporates before it hits the ground anyway!) It's already 100 degrees and barely past noon. Looks like 105+ today. Supposed to get to 108 in a couple of days. Still have my top and doors off. No AC anyway!!!

I love these threads. After my year in the desert with 130's mid day and 160 in my gun truck, I don't fuss about it any more. Hottest day on the thermometer was 143 but the worst day was a day when it was 125 and the sea breeze brought the humidity to 90%. I hate the humidity no matter what the temp, but 100-110, phbbbt, t-shirt weather is all. Suck it up guys, Algore says it's just going to get hotter.

be-a-utiful here. I am saving so much money, since it finally warmed up. No more trips to the sauna or the chiropracter!

Dare, there is just something about AR, even when it is dry, it is wet there! Used to go to the ouchita area all the time, pretty!

Enjoy it while it lasts. No matter what algore says, we're headed for an ice age. NASA finally released all of their records and the hottest years on record were all before WWII. We're actually cooling down.

You were around before WWII?!?

Yeah, I know, OC. It seems like it to me too. But, even the global warming proponents only claim a 1 degree rise in temperature, in the last 100 years. That's not enough to really even notice.

There is a theory that global warming actually leads to ice ages.

Yeah, Global warming. That's why I saw someplace around India having record snow fall or something like that right now.

And Dare don't worry about it man. I have to keep a fair amount of water on my little back yard grass to even remotely keep it green. And it's Bermuda.

I lost my St. Augustine after the last two years of drought. Now we've had the wettest year ever. Dang, I hate Bermuda, but all ya got to do is whiz on it every couple of days and it stays green! I envy you desert dogs for your cool nights!

wow! I looked at your forecast, it looks like one of our summers!
20 percent chance of P.M. showers! Isn't that unusual? Danged humidity, doesn't let the temps drop! You're at 42%, we're at 68%. Forecasting for 105 today, y'all are 108. No muscle/joint problems!

Yeah, heard we are overdue for another ice age as well as a super volcanic eruption (yellowstone anyone?). Truly the first time I've ever been skeered to be alive!

I agree with JJ. Got a few cases of MRE's, a few rifles with plenty of ammo, and A Jeep. Just glad I don't need cigs anymore.

ALL IS WELL...

I don't want to think about Yellowstone, we're supposedly within the blast radius if it goes. not much preparation you can do for that.
