Honda, love it hate it...

So this morning after cutting the grass, I decided to do some work on the non jeep in the family, the honda.

I really have not done much to it, I decided I needed to change the oil, which prior to this had been done at the dealership.

It took me 15 mins to find the freaking oil filter! I had to jack the dam car off the ground, in my way was a cv shaft and all the ifs crap blocking my view of it... okay this might be a pita. Just need to get my ramps out.. oh shit I sold those with the trailer..

So I moved on.. check the brakes... outer front pad looks good.. inner.. wait I can't see it!

Okay getting pissed at this point... I will check the plugs, pop the wire off.. oh god... its recessed into the cover 6 inches...let me get an extension.

At this point I put everything back, came inside and am waiting for the wife to get home with the Jeep so I can work on something that I know how to fix.

Hope your saturday is going better than mine...lol

And your Jeep never makes you curse?

We have a 2009 Honda. I love it. Almost 40 MPG. Very quiet (at least compared to our other cars). Everything works exactly as it should, all the switches are in the right place. It's comfortable. It's easy to get people into the back seat. What's not to like? Of course, I haven't ever even opened the hood. I don't work on this car at all.

The first time I drove a JK, it took me 10 minutes to figure out how to roll the windows up. I can hear my CJ's radio. When it's parked. The TJ at work has issues with reliability, like Paris Hilton has issues with her daddy.

I like Jeeps. I own three. I work for a Jeep-oriented company. I write about Jeeps (visit my blog at Bestop Blog !!). But they do tax me sometimes, too.

Some times but I'd rather work on a Wrangler then a Acura.

I hear you there. I had an 07 Acura TL that I traded for my TJ. It had so many covers on the engine that I could not even see the spark plugs. It was a very nice car though. My wife has an 08 GMC Acadia....it took me a couple of hours to change out the headlight. (dealer wanted $100 to do it) I had to remove the wheel well cover to get at the light. Dealer said they take off the front bumper. Changed the plugs in my TJ last weekend....took 30 min.

I love my Jeep.

When you have owned as many as I have, after a while the things that make one curse become like old friends.

Well I just turned my wife's jeep into a 2wd model. Removed the front driveshaft as she was going off road with out me.. that should teach her a lesson.... lol

Okay not really, I had to remove it as ZJ t-case needs repaired as the "awd" was locking in tight turns.. problem solved till we can fix it.. and I didn't curse once while doing it....
