Loved Krystals when I lived in Florida. Now I'm in the state where White Castle was created and they've all gone out of business. Seriously, they started in Wichita Kansas and now the closest one is (I think) in St. Louis.

The only way to get WC here is in the grocery freezer case.

Eureka!

White Castle was founded in 1921 in Wichita, Kansas. The name was chosen carefully with “White” signifying purity, and “Castle” signifying strength, stability and permanence. Guess it worked.

I found the best part of those tiny burgers to be the holes.

And they're good for you too.

This is the one I used to go to as a kid:

My mother used to go to it when she was a kid during WWII.

Dang; I want a Murder Burger now...

No White Castles here in Upstate NY. I've only had the frozen ones I can get at the grocery store.

I have 'em once or twice a month. That's about all I can handle now, but they sure are tasty. Used to be my favorite snack with beer in my younger days. It got a bit lonely the day after though.

HUGE fan..... they use to be in Kansas City, and vanished in the night about 10 years ago. I was pissed. Only time I get them now is if I head east.. pretty much St. Louis, or get the crappy frozen ones from the grocery store.... just not the same.

We don't have them in central virginia, but I love going there when we visit NJ! They had some amazing sweet potato fries last time we went.

IN an out is great. No White Castles here but most of the burger joints sell Castle burgers. They are like crack. The drug kind. What did you think I meant?

Yum! When we lived on the West coast we used to get them in the grocery freezer section. They weren't anywhere as good as fresh but good enough to take care of the crave. Now we have one a few miles down the road. Now I miss West coast food like fish tacos, In-N-Out, and Carls Jr.

Well my cousins and I used to order a 5x burger... Not sure if they still will make those. But animal fries, animal style double double, neo shake, etc. Basically the menu is not as small as it seems.
