Yea, it was a lot of fun.

Remember, Crack saves. At least that's what they told us there.

I love mixed coblers! I haven't had a cobler in forever.

Eagle and OA here also. Haven't been active in years, but my 8 year old son is interested in joining when school starts again.

I was a Life scout, had all but on emerit badge for eagle, did my eagle project and everything, but I didn't get along with the scout master I had at the time, and he kept avoiding helping me finish everything up, and I ran out of time (I turned 18). Still regret not getting my eagle. Congrats to everyone who has made it and will make it.

I made it to life as well. One of the biggest regrets I have in life is not finishing it all and getting eagle. I can live vicariously through my son though. He is all about joining cub scouts this year.

Yeah, it sucks knowing you almost made it, but not quite. I hope that when I have children, and hopefully a son, that he will be interested in the scouts. I'm thinking of trying to get involved when I PCS back to the states with a local troop.

Lots of good news on the Eagle ranks guys!

Today, I am meeting with the Chamber of Commerce and introducing a Life Scout who is currently working on his Eagle project. He'll be the first Eagle Scout to come out of our town since about 1979. The Troop was just started back up about 4 years ago.

Former Boyscout back in the early 1970's, Troop 46 if I remember correctly. Never earned my Eagle as there was a conflict with sports back then, was too active in baseball and football. Had a lot of good times as a Scout. Became a Scout Leader for 5 years as my son grew up but he too quit as there was a conflict in playing sports.

Forgot to mention that my 84 year old Dad was a former Boyscout as well, he told me once of being at a World Jamboree when he was in scouting back in the early 1940's, he said there were scout troops from everywhere back then including troops from Europe and Asia. He has kept his uniform all these years, back then they wore campeign hats just like soldiers did, he still has the hat too. I may have misspelled ''campeign'' but I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.
