well before him, I had another one
the first one, he was always hyper, lived to be 15. Even when he was 15, he still had plenty of energy in him, he always played with me (I was a little kid)

this guy, he has his moments. Some days he will sleep all day, but a lot of time he has plenty of energy. He will get in these playful moods and won't stop bugging me for hours haha
your shepherd looks just like mine when he was a young one

Dogs are great companions and I'd also like to give a plug to the homeless loves out there in Animal Control facilities, nationwide! These are my companions.

Griffin, pom mix discarded in a grocery store parking lot at 12 weeks and taken to Animal Control, during the really impressionable age of his life unfortunately! He's a rotten little family only type dog (I'm his fave). We've had him 6 years.

Bella, hound beagle X, gave birth to 11 pups despite being so thin every rib and nub on her spine showed. Pups all found homes after weaning in the shelter for 2 months. Bella still unwanted after pups were long adopted. She's a wonderful well adjusted dog and has been with us 4.5 years.

Whisper, long hair chi, unable to produce for breeder so she found herself homeless and was passed through at least 3 additional homes before she found her way to my family. Been with us since December, has lots of health issues, and strangely has become my husband's dog - she was only dressed for Christmas.

Some of us buy used jeeps - try used dogs too!

This is Miles, I found him when I was out on a run, he was only 5 weeks old when he was abandoned!

This is Ceasar, My girlfriends dog, he is 4years old

This is Brandee, my girlfriends other dog. She is like 13 years old that we rescued about 3 years ago.

This is Doob's she started it all. She is 5 years old and my parents "surprised" me with her when I graduated from college. She has seizures and eats her own poop sometimes...

This is the first time in my life that I haven't owned a dog .

In December I had to find another home for my boxer, Sid.....here's his pic.

I work so much overtime that it just wasn't fair for me to keep him in his crate all day. I'm still very sad over it.

My mom adopted a French Bulldog in September and that little girl is over here alot. I'm sort of her "second home". Her name is Lu Lu....here's her pic

We've fairly recently become dogless. But we are very much dog people, and specificially German Shepherd people. There are some beautiful GSDs on this forum!

Here's Luke and Dietz playing in the back yard:

Dietz just hanging out:

Luke doing some schutzhund:

They were brothers - different litters. Luke was schutzhund trained, Dietz was just a goof. We miss them.

Sorry to hear that. When yer buddy needs help, ya gotta give it to him/her, no matter the cost.

I've been thinking about looking into pet health insurance.
