And, that is exactly how Obama planned it. Keep your voters in the dark about your short comings by filling their heads with crap. <shakes head> Like sheep being lead to the slaughter.

I propose a solution: How about government controlled media?

Oh wait....that's not good either.

I suppose the country will just have to suffer enough to want a different change again.

Not surprising at all to be completely honest. I "conducted" a similar test amongst my "democrat" friends (or at least, the media told them they were democrats...) with the same results. They don't know why they voted for the man (although they thought they did, and said you're a moron if you didn't, but couldn't tell me why), they just know the media says he's awesome and so does he. People are sucked in by good speakers, and that's exactly what Obama is.

that is truly disturbing, but true
there were a couple of Obama supporters in front of me that didn't know anything about his (or McCains) policies, they voted on the base of his skin color. I am not rascist, I just think you should at least KNOW about the candidate you are voting for.

Not really interesting at all. It is a totally biased Ziegler who has been quoted saying that voting against a Democrat is always the the lesser of two evils. As a matter of fact, to all that think he is so interesting, do a little research on him...you will find the racist remarks he has made on air and gotten fired for, a current libel suit he has against him, and a few other "interesting" things. My whole point of writing this is, there are two sides to every story.

This same story has played out by many all across the nation. Not just Ziegler.

You are right but him being racist has nothing to do with those people not knowing anything about Obama other then his race and that he is a democrat. You can do the same thing to McCain Voters and you could probably do the same thing to all the voters in the past and 95% probably wouldn't be able to answer every question right about the candidate they voted for.

Want to know something really interesting? Humans are stupid and usually are sheeple.

We should keep it in perspective. A few uninformed goofballs are one thing, but not everyone that voted for Obama is ill informed. If you want to pick out some flaming a$$holes that you are fighting to defend there are plenty to choose from.

So what do you military guys think of the privatized military? The validation of Gulf War syndrome? Surely there is something better than crying in your beer over this.

It is in perspective. The majority of the ones I spoke to were just as uninformed.
That's what I've been saying all along. The media manipulated this election.
The media has completely abandoned their duty to inform the electorate and should be called on it.

Oh, and the President is of major concern to the military since he will be their boss and set their agenda for the next 4 to 8 years. It's pretty arrogant to suggest they're "crying in their beer" when they voice concerns.

Better pay, less bureaucratic red tape, more fun. I'd stay in Afghanistan until the last American leaves if they'd let me. A lot of SOCOM soldiers take that route because of the benefits. It's not a sellout. The end result is the same.....the bad guy dies.

From the website:

Quote:
Because obviously interviewing a relative handful of Obama voters, while interesting, is hardly scientific proof of anything, we also commissioned a Zogby telephone poll which asked the very same questions (as well as a few others) with similarly amazing results.
Zogby Poll

512 Obama Voters 11/13/08-11/15/08 MOE +/- 4.4 points

97.1% High School Graduate or higher, 55% College Graduates

Results to 12 simple Multiple Choice Questions

57.4% could NOT correctly say which party controls congress (50/50 shot just by guessing)

81.8% could NOT correctly say Joe Biden quit a previous campaign because of plagiarism (25% chance by guessing)

82.6% could NOT correctly say that Barack Obama won his first election by getting opponents kicked off the ballot (25% chance by guessing)

88.4% could NOT correctly say that Obama said his policies would likely bankrupt the coal industry and make energy rates skyrocket (25% chance by guessing)

56.1% could NOT correctly say Obama started his political career at the home of two former members of the Weather Underground (25% chance by guessing).

And yet.....

Only 13.7% failed to identify Sarah Palin as the person on which their party spent $150,000 in clothes

Only 6.2% failed to identify Palin as the one with a pregnant teenage daughter

And 86.9 % thought that Palin said that she could see Russia from her "house," even though that was Tina Fey who said that!!

Only 2.4% got at least 11 correct.

Only .5% got all of them correct. (And we "gave" one answer that was technically not Palin, but actually Tina Fey)

So to put a finer point on it, should there be concern that the best soldiers are being drawn into private service? Is there a danger that the actual military, over time, could become a second class option with older technology, less armor, fewer benefits, etc. where the expendable poor go?

Also, not defending any of the respondents, but that is not a statistically valid survey is it?
