Think so? I don't find any of these scenarios even remotely realistic.

I also love how in the 1960's everyone goes to college and becomes successful as a direct result of not being able to read, or whatever.

Thats right! it's a shame today douchbag Brian Dubie (not that the other candidate is any better) is going to get elected as governor here in VT. Vermont is one of those unique states that prides itself on being home grown and all about buying local and the mom and pop shops, that will soon change, what a pity. All the once local businesses and mom and pop shops are being bought out by the chains and large companies it's sad.

2010 sucks....just picture 2020 and so on. I agree with joe MO used to buy local but then Walmart forced people out of their houses and closed down almost every mom and pop store.

Too many variables in reality and too many absolutes in the examples.

Man we need to elect someone who can make some laws to protect us from all of the laws our previous elected officials made.

The "Good old days" are only a matter of perspective. Most minorities don't look at the good old days too fondly. Just saying. In a lot of ways, we are much better off as a society. In a lot of ways, we are not.

But yeah, the average person is a overly sensitive, self obsessed, oblivious to the world around them moron these days.

i graduated in 1966 and i got to tell you my name is johnny and alot of that crap is true.

but there is the other side. if i raise my kids today i would be in jail for life.
ex. 1) my son is tramatized over the fact that i feed the pet turkey to them on thanksgiving. (note no one miss the turkey until 2 days later)
2) when me oldest son was about 1 year old threw a tantrum. i stapled his clothing to a wall with him in it until he stopped the fit. (understood that was not acceptable on his part)

so i am glad i was in that 60s era because i would probably choose not to have kids in 2010 era

I got one that just happened to me!

So I went to the coffee shop at my school at 10:30 and they didn't have any of their food out and they open at 7:30. Joking I asked where it was and said they are "slaking" the lady response with if you Wana bitch, you can bitch to her (points to her manager) I said I don't want to bitch I was just making a friendly joke. I waited till they got the food out and then paid for it. As I was leaving she rudely says "freshman...they are so rude and immature" to which I respond "excuse me?" and then leave.

And hour later I get a call from my baseball coach. SHE CALLED MY COACH!!' Didnt take it up with me like two adults or anythig! Now I might be in trouble.

People need to lighten up and get a f***in life!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for the rant

People are very uptight these days, they should just relaxe, take a breath & be happy they have what they have, a meal in their belly & a roof over their head. I get dirty looks all the time because I have a darn sence of humour, it really is free to smile & laughing makes all the difference in your day. 2010 is fine, it's just that some people don't get that you have one life, live it happy instead of being an attitude on legs. Things change so fast & a bad situation can become a good one in a matter of hours. Yeah' ↑ some people just can't take a joke
The end

I agree, however When older folks refer to the "good old days" it's because they were young, spunky, and wild most likely not because of the era.

What's also sad is the closest today's soft kids get to a fist fight or confrontation now days is a fight on a message board.
