How To Get Better Gas Mileage!!!

This was on a hunting forum. They were talking about whether it is better to haul a 4 wheeler in the back of a pickup or on a trailer.

This guy had a great idea!

Quote:
I for one, not only like to pull mine around on a trailer, but I make sure to crank it and leave it running the whole time I am driving around.

My truck only gets 18 mpg, but my 4 wheeler gets nearly 50 mpg. By running them both at the same time, I average nearly 34 mpg on the highway. A little less on dirt roads.

That's the only reason my wife let's me keep the 4 wheeler. I showed her how much money we saved on gas by doing this.

Won't it hurt the engine to idle like that all the time?
