They are ugly aren't they? The only "real" HMMWV are flat tan with canvas seats... I remember when these first came out. Peterson's 4wheel and off Road's "4x4 of the year" issue disclosed that they were built on suburban frames. Then when the H3 came out it said they were on the Colorado frame.. what a joke.

We should all go out and find some Hummers and post a pic like that, showing how sucky a Hummer is vs. a Jeep.
I'll find one tomorrow and post a pic

Please post pics of your trophy's.
Nice thing about Hummer hunting is that there is no bag limit.

I had a difficult time with the title to this thread. I was going to use the "I'm with stupid" line but since I have no idea who owns the POS Hummer I went with what I know.

Be funny to get like 8 Jeeps and just block the hummer in and film from a distance to see their reaction

? the Hummer H1 and the HMMWV are essentially the same vehicle, with the H1 having a few amenities thrown in. The H2 is designed off of but not the same as the GMT 820 (Suburban/Tahoe/Yukon) platform and is the one you see on the roads. While designated as an off-road utility vehicle because of it's size, it's not really a capable off-road vehicle overall. That's not a question. The H3 was the "fuel-economy" Hummer and is designed on it's own GMT 345 platform that is unique to the H3, but shares components with the 325/355 platforms. It's considered a budget Hummer I guess, and it's again, about as off-road capable as the Jeep Commander.
It's similar to how the JK Wrangler shares an engine with a series of minivans

My humble opinion on the first point.. and a more general version of your very detailed information on the second and third points..

You know, I hate to say it, but the H2 really isn't that bad of an offroader. I've seen one few times. That guy holds his own.
It's on 38's though I think. You can put 38's on a civic and it'll wheel the snot out of anything

Barely. More fun to jump or fast rope into the fight, IMO........

I like the H3's and the Hummer Trucks.....wouldn't pay the prices they ask for them, but they wouldn't be bad grocery getters.
But then again....I have a Jeep, don't really need anything else....lol

At least you've photographed the Hummer in its natural habitat - the local mall parking lot. It's where they belong.

Yeah, and you still beat it on it's home turf be careful though. Those Hummer drivers might mess with your Jeep while it sits alone in the parking lot. You'll come out and it might have dinky tires on it with chrome rims and an extra set of doors
apologies for swearing distorted. I slip sometimes.
