I ate sheep intestine!

Some very good food here in Turkey. Kokorec is my favorite. Made from sheep intestine and beef. Cooked with peppers and onions. Served on flatbread and grilled tomatoes. Very spicy, not for the faint of heart.

I will have it again tonight and post a picture.

Good!

My 20 y/o son told me right before he left for college that pretty much his primary goal in life is to stay out of prison... Kids, ya gotta love em!

Nice. I've eaten it if the form of Haggis. As scary as it sounds, it was actually a bit bland until you add spices.

Nick that sounds awesome.......
A friend of mine made a variation of that here in the states for myself and some other friends to try......
Its excellent.....

Date, pistachio and hazelnut Lokum (Turkish delight) is quite good if made fresh (not pre packaged and mass produced).

Lokma (fried dough bites) dipped in honey ..... soooooo good

Turkish delight is fantastic. The hotel keeps it at the reception desk.

The two smaller pieces with the pistachios is Kokorec. This is a great meal.
