I feel stupid...

Anyone else accident prone? Anyone? Please?

Make me feel better, tell me your tales of woe.... because I managed to break my toe at the beach today.

I've had my fair share of silly injuries and accidents, but nothing quite like busting a toe at the beach!

We need details, preferably accompanied by photographic documentation, and we'll get to work on an award!

On second thought, at least you didn't take a header out of a tree and land on your FACE!!!

No, just you. It's because you are shorter than everyone else. Gravity and accidents affect you more.

But then again. Don't mind me. For some reason I'm posting a lot today. Don't really know why.

How do you know it's broken? Did you get x-rays? is your toe in a cast? How did you manage to do that? Kick an overly large grain of sand? I think you need to elaborate..... Tell us your wales of toe.

I REALLY did not get along with somebody at work that held a higher position than me. We got into it one day and I walked away before I said or did something that might have cost me my job. I kicked a wall in my anger and broke my big toe. That is probably the only type of stud I will ever find

Thank you Crafty, you're the only one who answered my request. Buncha goobers.

For those of you who asked, I was dragging my youngest son out in to the waves and we clacked feet somehow. Right now it's bright red and deep purple and I can't seem to move it. Poor little toe.

I remember those sudden hits of mystery pain, I did not go to the doctor btw. All they would do is splint it or tie it to your other toe save the money if it is straight.

Hang in there Tiny and no kickboxing!!

Well, it is in my Professional Medical opinion that it is very broken. There is a swollen, painful deformity complete with hematoma, limited range of motion and sluggish capillary refill.

Poor Mike on the other hand, lost a foot!

I don't know if you would say I am accident prone, or my girlfriend, but I hurt her ALL THE TIME by accident. Stupid stuff too, poor girl gets her azz beat and I don't even mean it Our friends swear I am secretly abusive Tiny tiny girls and overly large men are a bad combo for the accident prone. I swear I am going to kill that poor girl one day by accident

Sounds broke..... Tape it to the next two toes for a few weeks. That's about all you can really do if it's not displaced.

man, i'm not too accident prone, but i am pretty damn clumsy... always walking into stuff or tripping over stuff.

i was telling my dad the other day as we were workin on the heep in the garage and i tripped over the jack that was holding up the body, "I couldn't work in an actual garage with other people or somewhere where they depend on me not to hit something. i'm too damn clumsy, and cars will be falling on people left and right if i worked in a garage.... and i'd be sayin 'sorry bob, didnt mean to do that....again.'"

sorry to hear about your toe though tiny

I was leaving a quick stop one day and going back to my car. Family was waiting. I didn't happen to see the copper pipe hanging off the front of a plumbing pickup truck. Right at head level. I ran into it, it going into my skin about 1/2" above my left eye. Dropped me like a ton of bricks onto the ground.

My wife said, "Where'd he go?" then looked down to see me sprawled on the ground.

It was completely my mistake but something hanging that far off the FRONT of a truck SHOULD be tagged.

One time at Discovery Zone, I was chasing my little ones through the mazes. Went through those pads that are like tree trunks. One hit me knee and drove my foot into the pad - and it happened to be in the gap between 2 pads. Broke my toe then.

Never went to Discovery Zone again.

Tiny, I've got one for you, not me per say, but it was my grandpa. My dad was fooling around with Gramps one day, and my Grampa was showing him his kung fu skills, well he kicked him in the ass and he broke his toe. He goes to work the next day and tells his coworkers he kicked the T.V. Grampa learned he was not Bruce Lee God rest his soul.

My wife and daughter inherited my WIFES side of the clumsy gene.
Wife tripped over a FREAKING BRIGHT YELLOW SPEED BUMP at my grandmas condo in florida and broke her nose, she only walked over it probably 400 times over the years, not like they snuk it in there overnite.
My mother in law tripped over a raised manhole cover and broke her elbow despite the yellow tape and cones that only left *maybe* 5" of it exposed.
My daughter peeled her thumb with a veggie peeler but then she also has heated stuff in the microwave and then grabbed hollering 'hot hot hot'., but she's blond so I accept that over the years...
That was just in the last year, I could write a book.

one night me and my buddies were out doing "chinese fire drills" and we came to a red light and i jumped out and hauled ass around the car, but when i tried to stop to get back in the loose gravel had other plans for me and i fell flat on my face, samehow manged to get road rash on both knees and elbows...needless to say the guy next to me found it funny and my friends were laughing histarically, but i was in so much pain i could hardly move....good times

2 broken wrists, 3 broken ribs, dislocated shoulder, dislocated hip, dislocated thumb, 2 concussions that I know of, cartilage ripped out of left knee, broken ankle, many broken fingers and toes, broken nose, broken jaw, 3 back injuries, cut left foot open with chain saw, broken hand with deformed bone, lit myself on fire twice, burned arm to the bone with rocket motor, blew myself across the room once...That's all I can remember right now.

Nope, I'm not accident prone. I'm a walking disaster area
