a raise today at work!..WOOHOO..time to buy more stuff for the jeep!

Been waiting for this one for a while...finally fell through. On top of that we have 3 years left in our 4 year union contract...sweet.
Nice early xmas present.

Its has to do alot about the actual "grade" for me also. For years I've been the "acting" assistant foreman. Running a crew of guys who were all higher positions. I didnt get the grade that I'm supposed to be technically working, but now at least I'm even grades or higher than the guys on my crew.
My job is very political...if your not invloved you dont get nothing. I havent been invloved but had someone pushing for me for a long time, Trying to get me anything they can. And it finally fell through right after this years elections.

haha I love that show. Although I need to catch up on the last 2 seasons. I dont have HBO so I just buy the dvd sets. Havent got 4 or 5 yet though.

My boss made a big deal about me being only one of two in my dept to get a raise . . . it was a whooping 1% . . . which came after they pretty much desimated my bonus plan so all together I've lost about 30% of my income . . . thanks for the raise! Can't complain too much as I've got a job and they hooked me up with a home office which is cool.

Congratulations. You must be living right to get a raise in this economy. Our budget for raises seems to drop every year and I'm the guy who always delivers the bad news. Most people are happy with what they get...some people would complain if they got a 20% increase...I'm just happy to have a job at all. Toys and kids cost money
