Cool I have a shimmy

Got this in an email.

Quote:
Read below first before viewing the photos…..

This guy ran over a mattress and decided to keep going. The ensuing jumble finally whipped around enough to put a tear in the gas tank,
the subsequent lack of fuel is what finally brought this vehicle to its knees.

It had still managed to drive 30 more miles decently with a 60lb tangle wrapped around the driveshaft.

This genius complained that the vehicle had a "shimmy" when
driving it high speeds.

This is what the dealership found..............

That had to have made an ungodly amount of noise... along with the "shimmy".

thats awesome. i've seen some weird things, and customers with an odd complaint about it, but thats about the best one yet.

and it looks like he could've chewed up the axle housing, i would have sold that guy a rear axle, yoke, d shaft and transfer case, and charged him an additional 2 hrs for cutting that crap off. i hate stupid people.

Hell of a tribute to what the drivetrain will endure. No matter what dumb drivers do to them!

I still don't know what to say about having a mattress wrapped around your driveshaft and not knowing it. People amaze me sometimes.

See that's what I thought.... wouldn't you wonder where it went if it disappeared after you went over it? The mattress fairy came and got it I guess.
