Who isn't? They're all over the Internet if you do a Google search.

Ok, you caught my attention (despite the fact that this news will have virtually no measurable impact on my life). Why are they going to stop? The 12' is a handy little size that I go to for small jobs. Then again, its kinda like my 33" tires - fine for putzin around, but when I go play with the big boys I tend to develop insecurity issues. Is this happening because on the tape measure forums the 12' guys were always getting bagged on by the 25' guys? Ugh, see what Internet bullying can lead to?

Lol. Those guys are also the moderators that eventually lock the 12' vs 25' debate threads. The Tape Measure Forum can get surprisingly heated at times.

I get it

They aren't going to be making them any longer but then again, they aren't going to be making them any shorter either.

It is all about history and how long you have been around the forums to see what people post.

It's a cost cutting effort by the manufactures.

They will make them 10' tapes and still charge for a 12 footer.

This way they can save 18 inches of material.
