He's probably not even settled in yet. Coyote will relay messages from him when he gets them.... it's just odd not seeing him around.

Don't let him hear me say this but I just miss having him next door. It will be approximately a month before I hear anything. It takes about a week to get there, a week to get embedded at the location and a week or 2 to get email accounts setup and get internet access. He might and might not be able to access the forum from a GOV computer. It depends on the location. Some bases block forums and others don't. If not I'll relay updates from my .mil email

And in his line of work who know when he will see a computer next. As soon as I hear something you'll all be the first to know.

Dang it. Now I want bacon. See what happens when your careless with bacon. That should be a bannable offense.
Now I'll have to have a bacon burrito for breakfast in the morning to fix this. Thanks.

I'll pass on all the love.... but not the bacon. Its a no, no.

The locals don't eat pork products. Pigs are dirty animals. The US military has decided that pork products are strictly verboten as per General Order 1.

Did that change recently? The last time I was deployed (mind you that was in 2007), I had bacon every morning I decided to eat chow.

No it didn't change, and I had loads of bacon (bacon omelets) when I was there in 2007 also. This is how it was explained to me. That pork is brought in and controlled by the government, just like the government controls what AAFES carries. They can bring that pork over in a more controlled environment than through the mail. Last time I read General Order 1 the no pork rule was still there.
