I need help computer people..

I recently got a laptop and my question is how do I transfer my songs from my old computer to my laptop. Please be simple in your answers.

Get an external hard drive and put them on that. They aren't that expensive. Then you can keep them on that as a backup (so you don't lose them if one crashes) as well as copy them to any PC / Laptop.

You can get a data transfer cable that plugs into the usb ports on both computers. They come with software so you can drag and drop files from one machine to the other.

Sorry but I missed this post. I do have an external hard drive. So If I just put everything on that and then plug that into the laptop all should be well?
