Dashboards that were more stout than some modern day JK aftermarket front bumpers...

Round clutch and brake pedals...

"Torque Tube" instead of a drive shaft...

Checker Cabs...

When you went to the grocery store and by the front door was a tube tester,
When you could take burnt out light bulbs back to the edision store for new ones... no charge
When the milk truck had ice in it to keep things cold

Spark plug tester, and sand blaster.
Nylon tire, with tubes, that had flat spots in them from setting in the cold.
Chrome metal bumpers, that would rust.
57 Chevy, with the 283 engine. This was one of the most popular cars of it's time.

If you remember oil cans before they became plastic bottles.

Being told to come home before the street lights came on. And mom not needing you to check in every 5 minutes to make sure you were ok.

During hunting season, everyone had rifles or bows in their trucks/cars in the school parking lot. And no one was ever shot.

You carried a hunting knife on your belt in school and no one worried you would stab anyone.

Getting opening day of hunting off from school because the school assumed no one was going to show up

When your local bar first got Space Invaders and Asteroids. Then Centipede and Frogger. And of course, Pakman.

The first bar game I saw was Pong. It was a tv screen that two people sat in front of with two dials to move the "paddles" up and down the screen to hit the ball back and forth. Kids would laugh at such simplicity nowadays.

The first calculator I saw was one that a TA brought into one of my college classes. It was about the size of an iPad and only did simple functions. So I guess that means if you ever used a slide rule, you ARE an old fart.

Remember, you're only as old as the woman you feel.

Remember when has stations had free air hoses?

remember when you wished that you had Jesse's Girl

Remember when "I want my MTV!"

Remember when Jeff Spicoli ordered a pizza delivered to class

Remember "who shot JR..."

Nope... I'm at that age when I can't remember what I forgot!!
