Groovy man. That's far out. Everybody here is so up-tight, they need to do a little trucking. Right on, right on.

Even worse is when you actually spout one of these quotations.

I took a patient from a MVC to the Level I Trauma center by ground because all aeromedical flights were grounded.

Took the pt. in to Trauma 2 and as I was giving the report, I said no flights were available and one nurse asked if the weather was bad outside.

Without hesitating, I quoted, "it's raining like a cow pissing on a flat rock" to which she snorted and snickered.

I just dropped my head and went, "oh, shit.....I just turned into my grandfather" and she came over and gave me a big hug.

They look familiar but are missing the blood and grey matter.

I went to a fundraising event the other day for WWII vets. It had a 1940's theme and they had "Cigarette Girls" selling candy cigarettes and bubble gum cigars

My grandfather would load us grandkids in the back of his pickup and take us for a RC and a moonpie! We never went for icecream cause we made it under the carport. Man that brings back memories. X-mas lights with the real big glass bulbs, coke cans whos tab pulled all the way off, shelling peas at grannys and hoeing her garden for the coming spring crops. Wasnt no tiller. Not quite, Coke and beer cans you used a church key on, before they had zippy tabs.

Of cource once they came out, making chains of the tabs.

I still use my C-9 bulb sets to decorate the house and run a Lionel under the tree,

Jarts were indeed awesome. Until my sister got one stuck on the roof. That put a end to Jarts.

Gramps stopped letting us use them when he saw my cousin trying to catch them.

Glad to see gas prices slipping.

You may be an old fart if you can remember gas at 24.9 cents a gallon

I was too young to pump it but I just remember my Dad coming home excited one day and grabbing all the "Jerry Cans" we had. I think it only lasted for a few days.

I was too young to pump it also, but I do remember seeing the signs. The lowest price I remember was 0.10 a gallon.

Yes I do. Very space age. There was also a turning colored light you could put on the floor. When I saw one of those trees I knew personal jet packs weren't far behind.

Oh I remember both of those. Those strips of tinsel were a pain to pull off the tree and save for next year. I also remember spray snow in the windows (no real snow in SoCal) and dipping sponges in Glass Wax to make snowflakes, snowmen and Santas on the windows.
