I'm leaving this afternoon

To go camping up river for the next 4 days. Going to try and dodge the raindrops forcast for this evening and tomorow morning. The forcast is for clear sailing after thursday morning.

My ? is how much ALKEHALL should such a camping trip require? I feel a powerful thirst brewing so I want to be prepared.

Me + another social drinker of the female gender. I'm not providing cocktails for the entire group of campers. And no Jeeps involved. Going up river by boat, even with the 35/15/15's the damn jeep still wont float.

2 kegs. No drinking and driving though, and after about half a keg stay well clear of the camp fire.

Four cases and a bag of chips. There you go. And if you do tangle with the fire, we'd all like to see pictures. Just saying.

reg. bacardi and reg. coke. I don't drink that until I'm tired of the breers.
I actually prefer a "Foo-Foo" drink I named a "Piss-and-giggle"
Red maui and 7_up
I named it that because I stopped at a bar one evening and ran into a (2 younger chicks) cousin, and her friend and they were drinking them and thats all they seemed to do.
Side note: before its even asked, NO I took niether of them home.

One bottle...

Booker’s Bourbon... 121 Proof. Drink over ice with a splash of water. Damn all that drinking 'till your full and pissing all night in the woods. Get a nice mellow buzz going and enjoy.

I would try that as long as a breer chaser was allowed to follow.

You young lad, have a lot to learn. No offence intended.

Through out the course of a day. 2 maybe 3 bottles of that could be consumed along with a few beers in between to keep things flowing.

Twod be a ruff morrnin mind ya, but nothing a bloody mary wouldn't cure

Oh Derek, you're so cute. Just because you can't remember drinking all the rest of the liquor cabinet doesn't mean you didn't do it.

That causes a hangover that lasts for DAYS by the way.

Yea... I'm not into the whole "party 'till you puke" thing anymore. You can nurse a bottle of Booker's for a good while. It's not a cheap slam it down and get hammered bourbon.

However, @ 121 proof it will get you completely trashed if that's what you're after.

Not taking any with this trip but if you would like to make a batch sometime.

APPLE PIE

3/4 5th of Everclear
1 Gallon Apple juice
1 Gallon Apple Cider
4 Cups sugar
4 to 6 Cinnimon Sticks

Boil Juice, Cider, Sugar and Cin Sticks

WAIT TILL MIXTURE IS COOL, then add Everclear.
Let sit for approx 2 to 3 weeks

Enjoy(liberally)

the waiting period lets it forment and you can't even taste the everclear.

LOL!!! That's a bit too much like work. No more than I drink these days, a concoction like that would be wasted on me.

I do enjoy a drink here and there but not to the extent were I would get staggering drunk.

I'd have to say if we were doing a 4 day session on a river then it would have to be at least a 30 pack each day and I know my buddy Dustin (1WHTJP) would bring a bottle of JD and I'd tag along a bottle of Patrone Silver. Yup, that should just about do it.

Hell my old man and I killed 7 30 packs when we were at the lake for 7 days over the 4th of July. I think Mom was on to us though when she would only buy 1 a day. You build up quite a thirst building a deck, mowing 5 acres (Twice), cutting up two trees that got hit by lightning. Good thing there is a fridge on either side of the house. One in the boat garage and one in the pump house.
