Im holding off on even trying to get it. The latest iPhone will be dropping soon, and if you get this one, you will be stuck in a 2 year contract. Remember when ATT dropped the iPhone, then a year later, not even a year, they dropped an ewer version, and totally pissed off all those people, yeah, i see that happening in this case. Gizmodo.com will keep you updated on all that stuff, Apple fanboy site. I love my Droid, but might go to iPhone for some of their killer apps that the Droid falls short on. They are making strides in their apps, but still.

Kind of annoying that you can't be on the web or get email while on the phone, for that reason a lone I have to stay with ATT; iPhone is my company phone and I am on it and looking at emails while on conference calls. Big FAIL on the Verizon part

I read a few weeks back that the Verizon release will be with the up and coming version of the I-phone. I'm very excited as well. It's great to own reliable things that are built well and fun to use. Thank you Jeep and Apple.

I have a droid incredible on verizon and i cant see myself switching to the iphone on verizon any time soon. the android system allows the user to customize more than the iphone does.

To all you unhappy ATT iPhone users, yes please change to the Verizon system. Crash their network (it won't be ready for the bandwidth either) and then the ATT network will not be so over freaking loaded and my damn phone might work once in a while!

I wouldnt say they are scaring Jobs Inc, but i think he is finally realizing that ATT service sucks, and if he really wants to make a mark on the market, he needs to compete with all the carriers that offer Androids as well. Apple has impressive numbers considering that only one company is selling them. Where as almost all carriers sell Android platform phones.

I love my droid, I love Verizon. I have ATT for my work cell, and dropped calls are the norm, and all I have is a basic plane jane Nokia for my work needs. One hell of a tough phone. I digress... Im just finally glad that I can have a choice. Im not an Apple fan by any means, in fact, i cant stand for some of the stuff they do with the wall gardened approach to to iPhone. But it works for them.

In the mean time, I will be happy with my Droid, wait till the latest iPhone drops before I upgrade my phone, then i can have the best of both worlds.

And just an FYI, to all those that have iPhones... guess what? They came from my warehouse in Fort Worth. By my warehouse, i mean the warehouse that I take care of all the desktop and wireless needs for the facility. IT stuff really. Its an absolute mad house around here when we get all the iPhones before they are shipped out. We get them a month or so in advance, and the security is worse than airports, by far.

I doubt it. You have to remember, it was Verizon who turned down the iPhone from the beginning because at the time they knew they couldnt handle it. Now that they have dumped millions of dollars into the infrastructure, they are ready.

Check out the source at Gizmodo.com

ATT's network is old, and outdated, plain and simple. Especially for the east and west coast.

Verizon out here is horrid...ATT isn't much better...but its still better.

strange how much different the services are city to city and state to state.

They all suck, and they are all the best depending on who you are and where you need to use your phone...but, overall Verizon has nationwide 3G data and the overall best coverage handsdown.

If iPhones are like the new iPod Touch(and I assume they are) they are too locked up and restrictive. I like my android better.

Take last night for example I checked my email on my iPod Touch and I received an email with an mp3 attached. I could play the attachment in the email but I couldn't download it and add it to my music library without going to my computer. On my android though, it was a piece of cake. Just sayin.

I really can't see switching. I know AT&T sucks for some- but for me Verizon sucks and I have had very little issue with my iphone. To each there own. I AM curious to see how AT&T service changes with less traffic.

Wait in the sticks? really?

so now all the agruements will be "Verizons Iphone is better"... "nu uh, ATT's is superior"..."hey guys, you both suck, Android is the bestest"...then the fat kid with the blackberry won't have anywhere to stand.

wow how much time the nerds will spend arguing over this.

why not just buy an unlocked iPhone on eBay? T-Mobile does use a SIM card right? I think they do..oh well, I have AT&T and I am happy with it. I am hoping that Apple spreading to different providers will cause them to make some changes for the better.

Well bring it over here lol.....but seriously, their 3g coverage is a freakin joke and they shouldn't even be able to advertise they have it.

no worries... there's an app for that... seriously...

Resolve Your Verizon vs AT&T Cat Fights with the iPhone Coverage App

But whatever, not gonna "nerd fight" this, I really dont care, but i do like having the option of iPhone for more than one carrier, thats all i'm sayin. Cant really bash it until i tried it, and i havent tried the iPhone yet, so for right now, i love my Droid.

No, it was announced yesterday. Verizon is basically getting the same iPhone as AT&T with Personal Hotspot enabled. The next generation iPhone, or one featuring 4g won't be released until at least 2012. I would promise that.

Anyway, I hated the iPhone when I sold it and I still do. I'm sticking with my Droid Eris until November and then picking up the Droid Bionic when it gets rooted and ROM'd.

To everybody with complaints about the iPhone, you can fix amlost all the problems you are talking about by jail breaking it. Free ringtones, free apps and all the customizeing you would want to do.
