Ishmael

Anyone ever read this book by Daniel Quinn? Just finished it the other day... great read, really thought provoking. If you haven't read it, I would highly suggest it. One of the best books I have ever read. Does anybody even still read books?

I do ! I have a book on my night-stand, in the bathroom, in the garage, and in the bathroom at work (actually, two there...) Have not seen Ishmael, what genre? Give a little hint, why should we buy it?

Glad to see some of us still read, (besides Jeep Manuals!) Ishamael would be in fiction, it is a theological journey taken by a man who answers an ad in the paper that states: "TEACHER SEEKS PUPIL. Must have an earnest desire to save the world. Apply in person." What happens when he answers the ad just drew me in. I could not put this book down. It made me think about things in very different ways and also made me see things that I knew where there, I just could not put them into words. It is about issues concerning man and his world, or rather the world and it's man. Good read.

It's been a few years, I think I'm due for a re-read.
