Issues 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Summit

My boss bought a loaded 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Summit with the Hemi V8 in April and has been having an issue with the Steering Column. When he applies the brakes it feels like the Steering Column is loose as it goes in and then back out when he accelerates, it also vibrates when going over bumps. My mechanical skills are few and far between so I figured I would see if anyone had some ideas. It seems as though on this Jeep there shouldn’t be play in the steering wheel. Any ideas on what the problem may be would be helpful. I saw there was a recent recall for steering issues for Chrysler vehicles but not the jeep. Maybe one is on its way? Anyways I appreciate any ideas, as Quirk Jeep in Braintree has been useless the past two times he has taken it in. And since pictures always make posts more fun here are a few shots of it.

took it twice, teh first time they were also supposed to plug a leak and they not only messed the balancing off on the wheel they fixed, but also managed to mess up the other front tire as well. (both were off by over 3oz). going to try another dealership this week, but figured id see if anyone had an idea so he knows what to ask them to look for.
