Jeep beat with something!

So I go out drinking last night to a shady bar in a back alley and I decided id be responsible and get a ride home with a friend..when I get to my jeep this morning my headlights, fog lights, Kcs..front stock fenders and my rear tail light are smashed along with the piece of body behind the tail light..by windshield is smashed but not shattered..it's keyed and it looks like hell..I have progressive full covered but it's always a hassle..last time my windshield cracked it was slightly bigger than a dollar bill sized crack and I had to pay for a full windshield

I apologize ahead of time for the paragraph but does anyone have any idea where i should go from here? Anyone have this problem before? A buddy of mine just recently had his wrangler stolen and still hasn't been found and I picked him and talked to the cops..I have a feeling their going to think I did it..or maybe I'm just paranoid..if anyone takes the time to read this id love a chime in about any ideas..I'm a broke college student back home for the summer..my names Nate anything would help thanks a lot.

DANG!!! Wish I had some REALLY GREAT advice. This is about the best I got.

You should have had a police report done and an investigation started ASAP if they would do that, and contact the insurance company as soon as possible. There is no doubt that you have a deductible but I am sure it is less than the work that needs done.

Get at least three estimates from three REALLY good collision centers and get it fixed.

That really sucks and I wish you the best of luck!!!

Contact the bar and any businesses that might be nearby. Maybe a camera picked it up.

Turn it over to the police and your insurance. Brief rant: discount insurance is great unless you have to use it. I use Allstate and have had great service. My wife/kids had a brief period where there were several claims, some large and some small, and the insurance company took care of everything and I didn't see a huge rate increase when the incidents occurred.

Good luck getting everything repaired and thank you for being responsible enough to get a ride home with a friend after being out drinking.

+1 on the discount insurance.. I've heard that some don't cover damages on private property (Safeco)!. I've been using American Family for years, only a couple of claims but each time it's been a breeze..

Good luck, hope you get it fixed up and back on the road!

I found your problem...

Just kidding! That sucks. To me, destroying other people's property is as bad as stealing.

Sorry for you bad experience, but hopefully you will learn from it!

1. Stay away from Bars, because there is nothing positive there for you.

2. Always park your Wrangler in as safe a place as possible, (and in a alley by a Bar, ain't it)

3. Find yourself a reputable Insurance Co. Allstate, Farmers, State Farm, American Family, just to name a few.

Take this negative and make it into a positive, by learning from it, so that it never happens to you again..........

Each and every one of use in life have made some bad decisions, that we have paid for dearly. But this is how we grow and become wiser, and smarter in the future!!!!!!!!!!

Good Luck!

I know it's too late for you now, but faced with this problem in the future, may be best to call two friends. One to drive you home and one to drive the Jeep. Kudos to you for asking for help though, it was the right thing to do.

Slightly off topic, but.....

next time you review insurance coverage, do a little research on Progressive, and look into their corporate structure and origins. You may find it not compatible with your beliefs...depending on your political persuasions of course.

Before i got my jeep i had a dodge ram. It was not beat all to heck like yours but i was a little tipsy one night an went wheeling. I hit a huge hole an water came over the hood and into my K&N air filter that blew a decent size hole in my engine block. When i called my insurance to see what i should do they told me " son we don't cover stupidity" morale of this long story is it could always be worse.

A few things that I can think of right off hand one make sure all your aftermarket equipment is covered. Especially those who have AmFam Insurance I used to work for them until I moved to Cali. Most companies will not cover any aftermarket Items ( but they sure will put them on your vehicles.

If you Have any questions or concerns Pm me I still deal with insurance Monday thru Friday and sometimes on Saturday. As I work for a body shop now.

Most Insurance companies really only look into thefts unless you have a Long claim history of potential fraudulent claims Ie thefts multi vandalism's and Hit and Runs.

Progressive is great for motorcycle and rv insurance but auto less than par IMHO. I personally have USAA and They Love me as they take 205 every month for 3 cars with comp and collision.

As for the windshield was it damaged before the loss and did it get damaged more after the loss occurred? They may make you pay a portion of it depending on the state laws and betterment.

The Keying and broken lights should be an easy thing to deal with along with most all other damages.

As for getting three estimate I wouldn't waste your time or gas wait until you get your estimate from the insurance and take it to which ever shop you want to perform the work. The whole get three estimates was back in the 80's when Adjusters were really over worked and easy for the insurance company to handle the claim without lengthy wait times.
