I've seen a molle net thing that attaches to the back seat backside you could possibly use to strap it to the seat or maybe just a good old fashion gun case tucked in there some where, I haven't seen many ideas about long guns in jeep, might be a million dollar idea! Sry I just did a Google search on jeep gun racks they are mounting them above your head check it out Google image search jeep gun racks, looks nice might have to get my self one now!

One of the down falls of having a Jeep is lack of space and security.
That being said, I keep my GHB behind seat. I also have a portable safe. I will be adding the Tuffy glove box in the spring.
If I were to add a long gun I would buy a cheap one from a pawn shop and run a cable lock threw the trigger.
Just my 02.

No bag but I've recently started to pack all camping supplies in rubbermade containers. The idea is that when we want to go camp for the weekend it will only take me a few min to load up. I don't put anything back after a trip until its ready to go. It's so much easier to load and relax.
Currently stocking up on beans and rice in sealed 5gal buckets. I figure that if the world never ends then I've at least invested in my family's tomorrow.
A bug bag will need to happen next. Great ideas.

guns and ammo are nice, but in a SHTF/EOW scenario i'd want something different.
everywhere i go i bring a well equipped bob & my bow & ghillie. i'd rather have my ghillie than an armored vest. my advice for those with firearms in their bob kit - packing a firearm for self defense is fine, but pack a .22 cal pellet rifle with about 20,000 rounds of ammo & a good bow with about 50 arrows for long term survival. pellet rifle will put small game food on the table just as easy as a firearm, but it will do so with minimal required storage space for ammo, and without alerting everyone in a 2000 ft radius of your location.

also, put a good supply of antibiotics in your BOB, they will save your life.

Good info to have thanks , I do have a 10 day supply strong antibiotics , how many day supply are you talking about? I like the air rifle idea plus ammo is a lot lighter, as for the bow I've never really hunted with one are you using a crossbow or compound?

Yeah I have a bow that I would use and I have a pellet gun for birds squirrel bunnies ect. But a ghillie suit would be awesome to have

If you want to make one it's not that expensive, time consuming yes, but very doable. Here's a good writeup I made for the one in the picture

compound bow, not a fan of crossbows, too little momentum.
special emphasis on the .22 cal 800fps+ for pellet gun, the .177's (5grams) just dont have enough punch to take down a racoon, and a .22 (14 grams) can penetrate the frontal plate of a human skull if needed to be used as a defensive weapon in a pinch. $6.50 for a can of 500 hollow points at walmart.

considering the only real antibiotic emergency need for SHTF/EOW scenario would be that of infection from a physical injury (shot, stabbed, compound protruding fracture, amputation etc) you'd want as much as you can get your hands on. the reason i say that is because if its not life threatening you don't want to blow your anti-biotics on it. if you have a sore throat or a sinus infection you'll want to just deal with it. if you say, get your leg slashed open crossing a stream on foot and get a nasty localized infection & system wide blood poisoning you're gonna wanna use em. a 10 day supply would be ok for most treatments but it'd be a one shot thing. you want to have enough anti-biotics to treat yourself until your wound is adequately healed, for every wound you could conceivably get within 2 years. Amoxicillin & Bactrim(Sulfameth) are the two go-to anti-biotics for localized & system wide infections. Both are bacterial growth inhibitors, very effective. antibiotics expire fairly quickly, but don't loose their full effectiveness till about a year past their expiration date. if you have access to medical supplies or can somehow manage to aquire it, a single pack of IV drip Vancomycin is your anti-biotic of last resort (MRSA).

a lot of this is somewhat overboard as most bob's are adequately suited for a 2-6 week time period, i just tend to be more on the long term preparedness side of the crazy scale.

I assume preppers already know about this, but most of the major antibiotics can be purchased online cheap, in hundred-pill bottles and without a prescription if they're labeled for fish/aquarium use. These are the exact same pills that are sold as generics for humans. I personally keep a supply of Amoxicillin, Doxycyclene and Metronidazole on hand mainly for my dogs so I don't have to run to the Vet for every little cut, scrape or upset gut.

I did know that and I do have close to 400 of 500 mg doses of fish ammoxicillin, and some others for home use but for a bug out bag I think a simple 10 day supply for quick use, now my house is fairly well stocked but weight is an issue for a quick bug out bag , but pills don't weight that much! LOL

I just get mine on Ebay. But if you Google "fish antibiotics" there are lots of sites.

Hey, I don't see any sharp instruments on your list! Don't you watch The Walking Dead? Axe, machete, katana, bowie knife, crossbow, bayonette prosthetic...all invaluable when there aren't enough bullets or when you want to keep quiet.

PS. if you have extra cash a really good water purifier I use is a Katadyn Pocket its good for 25,000 gallons of water! They go for about $200 but it will last a really long time!
