Jeep Divers

Saw a TJ the other day with a dive flag sticker and it made me wonder how many divers we got here in the community.

My biggest two (little) stories are diving w/ barracuda off the Keys in Florida and snorkeling Molokini in Hawaii.

I've always been fascinated with SCUBA and of course a Jeep IS the world's most awesome beach wagon...

So, if you dive, toss up a pic or two and tell us about your adventure!

Open water and deep water certified, PADI 5Star

Haven't been down in forever.....life and work getting in the way....last time I even snorkelled was with a girl I was seeing ....we hopped down to Cancun for a week and I taught her to snorkel while there. She loved it.

Let's go divin'!
PADI rescue, nitrox, 11 years, 400+ logged dives, all recreational. I am a narcosis junky. Channel Islands, high altitude, and winter diving in my dry suit is a blast, but I am becoming spoiled by that warm, clear Caribbean water. Headed for Curacao next month. Just wish I could take my Jeep.

PADI Rescue here. A few other certs, but nothing fancy. Have a few thousand minutes under water. All recreational. Main diving sites are in the Caribbean and Gulf. Dove on the USS Oriskany right after they sank her. MANY dives in Bonaire.

Have done a mine dive in Missouri (Bonne Terre). The water was crystal clear, but 57 degrees and looking like the StayPuft Marshmallow man is NOT my idea of fun, esp with holes in the armpits and crotch.

Look for PAFirefighter's Bonaire thread on here. I posted some pics from Bonaire there.

This is my wife, son, and me (all Rescue certified), at the Oriskany back in August 2006.

Really want to dive her again to see how the environment is building up around her and to see what life has been attracted. She's settled a bit, so the flight deck is a bit lower than I am certified to dive, but the tower is REALLY cool by itself!

Jeep diver in Roatan, Honduras

PADI OWSI since 2004, live and jeep and dive on Roatan island in Honduras.
World class diving & great dirt roads, secluded white sand beaches, jungle, fantastic views from hill tops, etc. The shack in the back of my jeep is a fabulous beach bar & grill. Wanna come diving and jeepin', just shoot me a message. Adi, Roatan 4x4

Send me a PM. We were considering hitting up Bonaire again this fall, but we haven't been to Roatan yet. Would love to learn more about your operation, rates, locations, etc...

PADI: Rescue Diver for 19yrs, NAUI: Rescue Diver, Nitrox for last 6yrs. I'm also assigned to the City of Austin, TX Dive Recovery Team. Most recovery dives are less than ideal locations. I have dove in a few places in Hawaii, Great Barrier Reef outside of Port Douglas Austraila & Johnston Atoll in the S. Pacific while stationed there. Those are the more interesting locations for me.

USS Saratoga, CV3. Now resting in 180' on the bottom of the lagoon at Bikini atoll. This was the dive trip of a lifetime! This us where they tested atomic weapons shortly after WW2. The next picture is me on the HIJMS Nagato, flagship of the Japanese navy, also in 180' at Bikini Atoll.

Free falling into the blue for some pretty fish diving and a few sharks. Tuamotu Atolls, Tahiti.

I had to get a couple of more certs to go on that trip, advanced nitriox and deco procedures.

There are few things as awesome as diving.
