It seems to be the stigma of all big sites. these guys that were there since the beginning and are close with the staff think they know all. Its a clique, and its damn near impossible to get into. There are a lot of mustang sites like that. My buddy started his up because of it and is doing really well. Best part, is it doesn't matter if you are new or not, your question will get answered, and you won't get flamed for anything unless you start stuff.

Ok, I rambled. But yes, JF, JU and sometimes J-O, are full of a bunch of jerks. That is why I prefer the smaller sites whenever I look for a forum to join.

When I first got my jeep, we looked for jeep sites and found the other places first. I had no interest in any of them because of the atmosphere. Then I found WF and have been here ever since. There is as much knowleage here as the other places and it's given freely and in a friendly way.
WF and the people here rock!

I still frequent JF but I am more of a reader than a poster. I don't have any problem posting if someone asks a question that I know the answer to and am the first one to read it, but usually someone else has already answered it by the time I see the post.

I guess I'm not much on repeating the same answer just to see 'my name in lights'. If there are conflicting answers I will voice my opinion but I don't get into the 'mine is bigger than yours' arguments. (Jeeps or Ego)

There was a guy over there who asked about how to remove his doors and I told him to soak them down with WD40, work the doors back and forth then they should come right off. Then some dumb ass started a pissing match with me that WD40 wasn't a lubricant. I sent him an email with the photo of the back of a WD40 can which clearly states "LUBRICATES: WD-40's lubricating ingredients are widely dispersed ....". The tool never responded.

That's just one of many stupid posts I've subjected myself too over there. I don't visit very often...

pb blaster is some awesome stuff. WD40 is really barely a lubricant. It comes in handy at times though. It's great for cleaning tools and it's pretty good for gettin' water out of a distributor.

Anyway, this is a great forum and I consider so many people here friend, that I don't need to go back to the other ones anymore.

WD40 is also good for getting rid of yellowjacket nests.

I'm a member of 7 different Jeep forums, one Off Road forum and 2 Landcruiser forums. If you added up all the posts I have on all the other forums combined and multiply it by 100 it wouldn't even come close to the post count I have here. This is by far my favorite place to hang out.

However I will say that almost all of the forums I'm a member have some good information on them. And everyone of them have some poor guy who's asking a question that he (or she) really needs some help with. I try to help out everyone I can with any questions they have. (then I send them a pm and try to steer them over here )
