Jeep Owners - we need your help!

Hi there Jeep People

I am writing to you this morning on behalf of the family of one of your members, tchurch10. We know him as Travis. We are asking for your help because we know that jeep people notice other jeeps.

A week ago today, Travis went missing from his home in The Dalles, Oregon along with his 2010 Jeep Rubicon. He left behind most of his belongings, his cell phone, and his cats. He took his wallet and other ID, his laptop, and an unknown amount of cash.

Travis is a loved and respected 911 dispatcher and a city reserve police officer. The morning of the day he disappeared he was offered his dream job as a full time city officer. He was incredibly excited.

Travis was by all accounts, his normal cheerful self up until the last time any of his friends and coworkers saw him. His disappearance is extremely uncharacteristic of the Travis we know. He was reportedly not feeling well physically on Friday night when his parents said goodnight.

Sometime around 11pm he left town and has not been heard from since, aside from being captured on an ATM security video in Boise Idaho on Saturday. In the video he appears to be in good health and not in any distress. His jeep is also visible, and he appears to be alone. At this time the local authorities do not believe foul play is an issue however those who know Travis feel that there must be other circumstances at play, whether he is being coerced by someone or is experiencing a mental or medical health crisis. He has been under a tremendous amount of pressure recently and was not sleeping well. He has no known enemies and is active throughout the community.

We do realize that he may have left on his own and does not want to be found until he is ready. I want to stress he has not done anything wrong, and cannot be compelled to come home. We just want to know that he is safe.

Travis is 23 years old, 5'10" and approx 160 pounds. He has blonde hair and blue eyes. However we are hoping you will recognize the jeep first.

The jeep is a cobalt blue 2010 Rubicon. It has a black removable hardtop, tinted windows, and black rubicon decals on the drivers side. It has a University of Oregon decal on the rear window and Oregon plates 300-DNR.

All we ask is that if you think you see the jeep (or Travis) please contact your local law enforcement and tell them you have a possible sighting of a confirmed missing person from The Dalles, Oregon. Or you can call The Dalles City Police at 541-296-2233. We are a small community and anyone you talk to will know who Travis is.

The only other thing I ask is to please keep any negative speculation off this thread. Travis' family will be checking in and they have been subjected to enough of that already.

Thank you so much, in advance. We just want him to be safe.

Below is a link to a few local news stories, one including a picture of the flyer circulating around the area.

Hopes and prayers from Northern Ohio for Travis' safe return home. We will keep an eye out for him and his Jeep in the Great Lakes Region for sure. Stay strong!

I'm a long way from Oregon, in Upstate, NY, but that Jeep would stick out like a sore thumb around here. I'll definitely keep my eyes open for it! Best regards to Travis' family. Hopefully he is well!

Scott that is our hope - it's fairly new and shiny with custom wheels and it's a gorgeous color - I rarely see another one like it. So we are hoping that it will catch someone's attention.

Again, we just want to know that he is okay.

Travis may have gone through the Las Vegas area between the 16th and the 18th. Just a small update - please keep your eyes open!

Speaking for myself, sometimes I prefer not to follow links. For simplicity sakes, here are the photos:
