Thank you!
It was one of those "right place at the right time" kind of things. I jjust looked up and it was there. We'd been out driving around and stopped to play by the water for a few minutes.

Here's another that kind of happened like that.
I looked down, and this guy had left his fishing pole and chair by the water, it looked so inviting and serene...

After this thread came up, I suddenly feel like taking my camera out again.

Trouble is, it's raining like a cow pissin on a flat rick outside today.

Maybe I should don some rain gear, risk the tornado warnings and go see what I can shoot ...

or not.

Just got done in the darkroom. The negs form Thursday afternoon came out well. Great contrast. Should be. I spent twenty minutes mulling it over and then five more for the sun to come back so I could act on it.

Excellent. Love seeing everyone's shots. Glad to find other photographers who have jeeps ... it was the reason I bought mine, so it could take me all the places I want my CAMERA to go!

Walked around the corner, saw this little bird sitting on the ledge by itself, and then while I was shooting, Momma came with some food:

My favorite bird, the Black Crested Night Heron up close and personal:

I used to be a staff newspaper photographer until a year and a half ago and now I freelance and I am in grad school for my M.F.A. I recently bought a Nikon F5 and loving it since its been a while. I also picked a Mamiya 6x9 from the school and I love that thing. Are you at APUG by any chance. Your avatar looks familiar.

Here is a double exposure of a little train project I am working on.

WOW!
Love the pictures, all of them.

It's been so cold, windy and rainy the last few days that I jsut don't want to leave the house.
Which means I am stuck doing chores. That's never good.

I'm seeing a tripod and a row of cars in a parking lot in that eyeball. No people. Remote trigger?

Nah, that is actually my arm you can see in the photo. This guys are so used to people that they will let you get really close to them. I am always fascinated by the color of their eyes.

I laid down on wet creek side rocks with my chin about 2 inches above a mess of wet leaves with my XG-M to get that one. It was a great day. The Jeep was there. 'Course, I was a mile from the trailhead, but she was there.

Flash, you sure do go to some pretty places.
How many tried did it take to get that reflection shot?

One frame. Focused on the falls through the reflection since that's how far the light has to travel. Metered the falls and went with a three stop drop, the usual for light loss through a reflection in water. I might have gone only two so as not to blow out the rest of the picture, out of focus as it may have been. But that was eight years ago and I have slept on the reset button alotsince then. ;p
