Jeep prices going up?

I was at work reading a used car sales publication and found this picture of a beautiful 06 wrangler unlimited, the caption reads "6-spd., AC, CC, 4x4, nice!!" price...."WAS $11,995 NOW $16,470"

If this is any indication of the market for jeeps we can all expect a $5000 raise in value.

Something tells me that's a typo...or their marketing guy SUCKS. lol

But...while I haven't heard of Jeep prices skyrocketing, they have been holding their value extremely well lately. My buddy who's part owner of our local Chrysler dealership had an 04 Sahara on the lot. He said they paid $15,000 for it and was amazed that they are actually selling for $19,000 with no trouble...compared to buying a brand new base model JK for $21,000.

I bought my 04 Sahara 3 years ago with an extended warranty for 19K. But it is nice that our Jeeps like to hold onto their value rather than burning it off like unwanted fat
